This is a guide on the available platforms and consoles for The First Descendant. Read on to learn more about the available platforms and recommended hardware for the game as well as the differences between console platforms.

Available on PC Through Steam
The PC version of the game can only be played through Steam. As of writing, there are currently no plans for the game to be released on other stores on PC.
Compatible With PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
In addition to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, the game will also be available on the PS4 and Xbox One. Since some settings will be unavailable due to hardware limitations, other platforms are still recommended for better video quality.
Not Available for the Switch or Mobile
Currently, there are no plans for the game to be released on the Switch or Mobile. Players that wish to play the game will need to do so on the platforms listed above.
Supports Cross-Play
The First Descendant supports cross-play, allowing you to play with friends or random players on different platforms.
Recommended Hardware
PC Version is Recommended
We recommend getting the PC version of the game as players can get the best experience especially those with more powerful systems. The game also requires a large amount of storage and this can easily be handled with a PC.
For Console, We Recommend PS5 or Xbox Series X|S
For console play, we recommend playing on the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S to avoid any inconvenience with older consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One. Playing on the newer consoles lets you experience higher image quality and smoother frame rates.

All settings are available for the PS5 and Xbox Series X while some (or all) settings are unavailable for other platforms.
