Tips for Defeating Molten Fortress |
---|
|
As you damage Molten Fortress, it will eventually fill up its Frenzy Meter and position itself in the middle of the arena. It will then enter its immune phase and summon six rods surrounding the area. To remove its immunity, you must successfully connect the rods to each other.
To connect the rods, you must shoot the terminals hanging in the middle of each rod until they all have arrows pointing to the right. You can determine if you successfully connected two rods if you see a line of electricity in between them.
As you try to shoot the terminals in the right direction, Molten Fortress will throw fireballs heading toward the rods. These fireballs can overcharge the rods, which is indicated by the set of bars underneath the terminals.
If these rods become overcharged, their terminals will reset, and the arrow will point in its default direction.
During its immune phase, Molten Fortress will summon multiple flame pillars rising from the ground. These pillars can do significant damage to you but are relatively easy to deal with, as you just need to constantly move to avoid them.
The easiest weak spots to target while fighting Molten Fortress are its core and head. Aim your shots in these areas as much as possible to try and bring down the colossus.
While fighting Molten Fortress, it will summon numerous Roly-Polys, especially during its immune phase. Deal with these enemies first to prevent them from obstructing you from the mechanic and to gain recovery items and bullets as well.
