How to Beat Hanged Man

Equip Electric Resistance Modules

The First Descendant - Equip Electric Resistance Modules

Since Hanged Man utilizes the Electric attribute, it is highly recommended that you equip any modules that are resistant to electricity. It can be tricky to dodge his wide-range attacks so having electric resist can help reduce the damage taken.

Grab the Cube and Run Away

The First Descendant - Grab the Cube and Run Away

When attacking the Hanged Man, the red gauge below him will fill up and upon completion, he will do an unavoidable attack that will kill you instantly. You can prevent this by designating a member of your team to pick up the cube and run around with it before it fills up.

The Player With The Cube Focuses On Running

When a player picks up the red cube, the other teammates should focus on attacking while the player with the cube should keep a distance from the rest of the team. This way your team can deal damage without having to worry about getting hurt.

Focus Attacking the Mouth

The First Descendant - Focus Attacking the Mouth

If you aren't the player assigned to get the cube, be sure to focus on attacking the mouth. You can only attack this when the Hanged Man is spitting out a beam of light so be on the lookout for this and be ready to attack.

Return the Cube to Cancel Invincibility

The First Descendant - Return the Cube to Cancel Invincibility

If the charger in the mouth has accumulated enough damage, the player holding the red cube should return the cube to its original place. This is so you can disable the Hanged Man's invincibility and deal damage to it.

Prioritize Destroying the KingFishers

The First Descendant - Prioritize Destroying the KingFishers

When Hanged Man calls in KingFishers, be sure to take these out immediately as these will just attack you when ignored. Destroying them will drop bullets and recovery items.

Equip the Tamer

First Descendant - Tamer Weapon

The Tamer is a Rare Machine Gun that has excellent damage, a fast rate-of-fire, and a high magazine capacity, resulting in one of the best DPS weapons that you can use to quickly defeat this boss.

If you can't play an mmorpg without realizing its not as straight forward as COD or Fortnight, go back to playing them. We didn't have any guides in destiny 1 or 2 on how to to raids until either we figured it out or someone else did first. Used to take days for a solid team to defeat a raid. Get used to it or don't play the free game.

Absolutely. Every boss should stand in the middle while we shoot it until it dies. Maybe let it shoot back but only after it announces that is will be shoot at at whom. /s This is the best boss yet. Interesting mechanic that takes some thinking to defeat. All of these Fortnite babies have obviously never played a real MMORPG where raid bosses had very complicated mechanics with little margin for error and the only way to figure it out was to figure it out! Or do a 3 second Google search..
