Tips for Defeating Pyromaniac |
---|
|
Focus your attacks on either of Pyromaniac's shoulders as these are its weak points. These parts are exposed making them both easy to attack and easy to damage.
Pyromaniac moves quite slowly as it just walks around the battle area. Its attacks are also on the shorter range which makes it best to stay back and attack Pyromaniac from a distance.
Pyromaniac has an attack where it summons orange chains around it that expand and deal damage to anything it comes into contact with. This attack starts as a smaller orange ring that signals you to run.
Once Pyromaniac enters his Frenzied form, focus on shooting the red tube on his back to deal damage to him since his other body parts will be immune to any form of damage while in the Frenzied state.
When the KingFishers and Humming Birds are summoned, prioritize eliminating them over attacking Pyromaniac. They will continue attacking you if you don't take them out. They drop bullets and recovery items upon defeat.
As soon as the Pyromaniac teleports you up in the air, use the grappling hook to pull yourself outside of the red circle before landing on the ground to avoid being hit by his AoE fire attack.
We recommend equipping the Mid-Air Maneuvering module so that you can cast the grappling hook while mid-air.
The Tamer is a Rare Machine Gun that has excellent damage, a fast rate-of-fire, and a high magazine capacity, resulting in one of the best DPS weapons that you can use to quickly defeat this boss.
Be sure to equip your weapon with the appropriate elemental damage that matches the weakness of this boss. You can change your weapon's element through the use of Weapon Modules or Weapon Options via the Workbench in Albion.
