Before you can receive this quest in Albion, you will have to progress the main story until you have unlocked the Echo Swamp region. In addition, you will also need to complete the Follow Their Traces and The Traces Continue sub quests.

Obtain the Journal at the Derelict Covert in Echo Swamp

To find the journal in the In Search of the Relic quest, you will have to go to Derelict Covert in Echo Swamp and climb up to the top of the tallest tower to the north. You can find the journal on the roof of a shack on the tower itself.

Once you get the journal, open the main menu and select Journal. Go to Records and under Descendant, select the journal to listen to it and complete the quest.

How to Get on Top of the Tower

1	At the tower where the journal is located, there is a small tower in front of it. Use your grappling hook to get on top of the smaller one.
2	Face north and use your hook again on the floating platform.
3	Ride the platform towards the tower.
4	Once on the tower, go to the left side and use your hook to get on top of this ledge.
5	Jump on the roof and you'll find the journal on the floor.
