Descendant Level Limit

Maximum Descendant Level is 40

The First Descendant - Descendant Level

The maximum level you can level up your Descendant to is Level 40. As you increase the level, active skills can be unlocked. You can level up by gaining experience from defeating enemies and clearing missions.

Reset Levels to Increase Socket Type

The First Descendant - Socket Type

When you reset you Descendant Level, you can select an additional socket type for the Module. When you set a Module in the slot, you can reduce the capacity by half by setting a Module that corresponds to the socket type.

Select Descendant Module from the Inventory screen

Select Descendant Module from the Inventory screen.

Select Module Additional Settings.

Set the Module's socket type. Do note that you will need to reach Mastery Rank 7 before you can select this option.

Defeat Enemies

The First Descendant - Descendant Level

You can increase your Descendant's Level by defeating enemies and earning EXP. The higher the level of the enemy you fight, the more EXP you can earn.

Complete Quests

The First Descendant - Complete Quests

You can also earn EXP for your Descendant Level by completing Main Quests and Sub Quests. Since the EXP received isn't the most substantial, you can think of the EXP earned as a bonus when completing quests.

Earn EXP in Multiplayer

When playing in multiplayer, you can also gain EXP even if other users are the ones to deal the killing blow to an enemy. This lets you be more efficient at defeating enemies and levelling up when partying up with other players.
