The First Descendant - How to Get Void Shards

Use skills to destroy Void Fragments in The First Descendant. Learn how to destroy Void Fragments in this guide, along with the rewards you can earn.

How to Destroy Void Fragments

  1. Check the Attribute of the Void Fragment
  2. Defeat the Horde of Vulgus
  3. Use Skills to Destroy the Void Fragment

Check the Attribute of the Void Fragment

To start, check which specific attribute is needed to destroy the fragment and match this with the descendant you bring. For example, if the void fragment requires a Non-Attribute skill, bring Ajax, Jayber, or Valby, among others, to destroy the void fragment.

Once you have your Descendant ready, simply use a skill to attack the Void Fragment to start.

Characters List

Defeat the Horde of Vulgus

Immediately after attacking the Void Fragment, a horde of Vulgus will start appearing. Defeat them and meet the quota indicated above to destroy the void fragment barrier.

Use Skills to Destroy the Void Fragment

After defeating the horde of Vulgus, the Void Fragment will no longer be immune to attacks and can now be damaged. Use your skills to inflict damage, and make sure to do so within the given time frame. Damage from weapons or any other source will not work!

Once the Void Fragment receives a certain amount of damage, the Void Fragment will regain its barrier, and another horde of enemies will appear, with a higher quota in the second round. Defeat the new set of enemies again to finally destroy the Void Fragment afterward!

Failure to Destroy the Void Fragment Starts Another Wave of Vulgus

Keep in mind that you only have a limited amount of time to destroy the Void Fragment. If you fail to destroy it within the given time frame, another horde will appear.

Destroy Void Fragments Rewards

Earn a Variety of Void Shards

Other than EXP, you can earn Void Shards for each session of Void Fragments you complete. The type of Void Shards you receive depends on the specific Void Fragment mission completed.
