Encrypted Vaults Map

We are currently in the process of locating and adding more Encrypted Vaults to the map. If you find any Encrypted Vaults not shown here, please let us know in the comments!

The Interactive Map both shows the location of key points on the map, and doubles as a collectible checker.

  1. Click an icon on the right side to show all the pins of a specific type, or click the magnifying glass button to search for a specific pin by name.
  2. Click a pin on the map to see its name and description, and a relevant picture or video if available.
  3. From here, click Mark as Acquired to indicate that you've gotten a collectible already. This will change its icon on the map to show that it has been collected, and add 1 to that pin type's Counter.
  4. To undo this, click on the same pin and click Restore to unclaimed.
  5. To check how many pins you have marked so far, check the Counter in the bottom left, and click the icon that looks like a checklist to see counters for all pin types.
  6. If the collected pins start to get in the way, you can hide them all by clicking the green Show Pins button on the left side.

How to Find Encrypted Vaults

Search For a Square Hologram and Use Ecive

Each area on the map has a set locations where Encrypted Vaults can spawn. When you see a holographic square with a greenish color, the spawns are near that area.

After you encounter a holographic square, Use Ecive and listen for the ping, and look for the visual cue with waves. If the ping sounds muddled, you are heading in the wrong direction. However, if it is sharp, you are facing the general direction of the Encrypted Vault.

Encrypted Vaults can spawn in certain locations of the map, but chances of them appearing are not a 100%. This means that you may find Encrypted Vaults in new locations, and not encounter them in past spawn sites you've visited.

Farm in Extermination Missions

The First Descendant - Farm in Extermination Missions
To consistently farm Code Analyzers, Extermination missions are the best way since they spawn the most enemies and are quick to finish depending on your build! These are the recommended missions to do for farming Code Analyzers:

  • Sterile Land - Anticipated Ambush Point
  • Echo Swamp - Abandoned Refinery Unit

How to Farm Code Analyzer

Complete Minigame

Once you've selected the prompt to use a Code Analyzer to an Encrypted Vault, you will access a minigame that requires you to stop the rotating pointer to its designated area of target.

The minigame's difficulty will depend on what Code Analyzer you've used on the Encrypted Vault.

Enzo Makes the Minigame Easier and Increases Rewards

The greatest Quartermaster, Enzo, makes the minigame easier by increasing time along with the width of the bars. Using him also increases the rewards you get from opening Encrypted Vaults!
