It is recommended that you prioritize enhancing Descendant and General Round Modules. Depending on your playstyle, you can either focus on Descendant Modules to increase your survivability while improving your skill power, or on General Round Modules to increase your Firearm ATK.
Do note that enhancing either module will also increase the Module Cost. This limits the amount you can carry during the early game, so it is best to balance out what you need first.
Best Early Game Modules | ||
---|---|---|
Technician Increases skill power modifier. |
Skill Extension Increases skill duration. |
Skill Expansion Increases skill effect range. |
Increased HP Increases max HP. |
Increased DEF Increases defense. |
Increased Shield Increases max shield. |
You can enhance descendant modules that give bonuses to your base stats and active skills. Good early game modules will include Technician, which improves your skill power modifier by 13%. Another early module that's great to have is Skill Expansion, which increases the range of your active skill by 12%. Skill Expansion will not apply to all of your active skills. It only applies to certain skills for each Descendant. Swap these modules out later on for Increased HP and Defense modules if the amount of damage you are taking from enemies becomes an issue.
Early Obtainable Sub Modules | |
---|---|
Shock Punch | Shortsword |
Modules in your inventory that have an orange glow are your sub modules, whilst modules that glow green are your skill modules. It is recommended that you enhance the sub modules that you will be getting later on as you progress through the game. Enhancing sub modules increases your Max Capacity, allowing you to increase the total amount of your modules capacity.
Best Early Game Weapon Modules | ||
---|---|---|
Rifling Reinforcement Increases Firearm ATK. |
Better Concentration Increases critical damage. |
Better Insight Increases critical hit rate. |
It is recommended that you prioritize enhancing your weapon's Firearm ATK as it has a significant impact on your overall damage output. After that, you can further increase your DPS by equipping modules such as Fire Rate Up, which increases your firing speed, and modules related to Critical Hits.
The items above are the best modules to slot on your weapons in the early game. These modules will help boost your Firearm ATK, Critical Hit Damage, and Firearm Critical Hit Rate in that order.
Silion's Location |
---|
You can enhance modules by talking to Silion in Albion. Enhancing modules will increase the amount of bonuses you can get. However, this also increases the module's capacity cost, preventing you from slotting in more modules later on.
Some Descendant and weapon modules cannot be fully enhanced until you meet the required Mastery Rank. You need to earn Mastery Rank EXP and raise your Mastery Rank to further enhance these modules.
Module enhancement requires Kuiper Shards and Gold. You can acquire Kuiper Shards by dismantling duplicate modules you have in your inventory.
How to Farm Kuiper Shards | How to Farm Gold |
Modules can be obtained randomly by defeating monsters. This applies to rare and ultimate modules as they have chances of dropping from monsters as well. Check the Acquisition info in the modules list to see which monsters possess the module you are looking for.
You can also get modules as rewards by clearing missions. These missions can also be tracked by checking the Acquisition Info in the modules list.
Higher-tier modules can be obtained from Void Intercept Battles. You can find the location of these by checking your world map. However, these missions won't be available to you until later on.
You can raise your Mastery Rank by earning Mastery Rank EXP. Raising your Mastery Rank increases the Module and Storage Capacity of your inventory. Visit Prime Hands in Albion once you have met the requirements of your next Mastery Rank.
You can also increase your module capacity by enhancing your Descendant's Sub Attack Module. It can be identified in your inventory by the orange glow beneath the icon. Fully upgrading your Sub Attack Module increases your module capacity by 10.
By matching the socket type of the module with the socket of your character or weapon slot, the capacity cost will be reduced by half. These sockets can be obtained by assigning a module type, which is only available after increasing your weapon proficiency or character level to 40 and then using a Crystallization Catalyst.
Note that while characters and ultimate weapons have sockets, normal and rare weapons do not have sockets until you use a Crystallization Catalyst.
You can also increase the maximum capacity of your Descendant or Weapon by using Energy Activators. This item can be obtained through research, and its requirements are only available in hard mode. Make sure to use these items wisely, as they are difficult to farm.
