Even with the recent 1.1.0 update, Enduring Legacy still preserves its position as the best boss-melting weapon due to the staggering 60% addition in its Critical Hit Damage, making its base Critical Hit Damage jump from 1.7x to 2.3x.
With the weapon's high base Critical Hit Rate and Damage, large magazine capacity, and unique ability, you can easily shower enemies with a barrage of bullets with this powerful machine gun.
Enduring Legacy: How to Get and Stats
The Thunder Cage, while is arguably the best weapon in the game, as you can deal a huge amount of damage while staying extremely mobile. The ability to make enemies explode and deal AoE damage makes this suitable for mob clearing, while the mobility it gives allows you to easily dodge boss attacks while firing.
On top of everything, you can get this weapon fairly early in the game with minimal farming.
Thunder Cage Build and How to Get
Greg's Reversed Fate's unique ability that unleashes Bombardments on unshielded enemies was introduced in patch 1.0.5 gives it the potential to outdamage even Enduring Legacy.
However, the lowered trigger rate balanced out the unique ability, meaning that its peak damage is dependent on the situation and luck you have.
Greg's Reversed Fate: How to Get and Stats
The Python is another Submachine Gun that has one of the fastest fire rates in the game. This weapon is best paired with Descendants using Toxic and Non-Attribute elements, as its unique ability lowers enemy resistance on the two.
Still currently the best Hand Cannon after its huge buff in patch 1.0.5, Nazeistra's Devotion retains its position as one of the better weapons you can get invest into. Hit Damage by an additional 9% and 25% respectively.
The recent buff made this weapon one of the most damage consistent weapons in the game since it now has increased base Critical Hit Rate and Critical while having the ability to lower enemy defense by up to 30% and restoring the shield of allies, activating Passionate Sponsor as well!
Nazeistra's Devotion: How to Get and Stats
The Secret Garden was also buffed in patch 1.0.5, increasing its base Critical Hit Rate from 35% to 50% and its Critical Hit Damage from 1.85x to 2.25x. Its huge increase in Critical Hit stats allowed this weapon to perform exceptionally well with descendants that specializes in Tech skills.
Secret Garden: How to Get and Stats
The Afterglow Sword and Piercing Light are extremely powerful Sniper Rifles that are capable of dealing ludicrous amounts of damage in one shot. If you want higher crits, choose the Afterglow Sword; but if you want more base damage, choose Piercing Light!
These Sniper Rifles are best for descendants that can benefit from strong single shots, such as Hailey, Sharen and Enzo.

The Tamer, while a weapon that is capable of dealing insane amount of DPS due to the combination of its huge magazine capacity, high fire rate, and remarkable base damage, has since fallen off because Enduring Legacy took its spot.
The blaring downsides of this weapon is its slow movement speed and fairly long reload time. However, do keep in mind that this is still the strongest weapon during the earlier stages in the game!
The Eternal Willpower is a reliable assault rifle in the game due to its high base Firearm Attack and Critical Hit, but falls off in the later stages of the game. However, like the Tamer, this weapon can easily be obtained from certain missions, making it a solid early game weapon.
Eternal Willpower: How to Get and Stats
The Vestigial Organ, currently the best launcher the game has to offer, maintains its spot due to its high damage and quick fire rate for a launcher weapon. This will allow you to deal high damage that is capable of mob clearing and single-target damage.
However, this weapon only pairs well with Gley, who is capable of having unlimited ammo for a certain duration.
Vestigial Organ: How to Get and Stats
Damage per Second | The highest factor considered when ranking the best weapon tier list is the weapon's overall damage output. The weapon's ability to deal high and consistent DPS heavily affects the ranking it receives. |
---|---|
Ease of Use | Another factor in the ranking is the weapon's handling difficulty. We believe that regardless of how much damage they can output, it is important to consider how easy it is to dish out that damage. |
Viability | The weapons are also judged based on their effectiveness and viability. These include the possible synergies with Descendants and if the weapon can be used in most scenarios! |

SS Tier | S Tier | A Tier | B Tier |
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |

★★★★★ | ★★★★★ | ★★★★★ |
Machine Guns are the best weapons in the game so far. Owed to their high ammo capacity, damage, and decent fire rate, Machine Guns are easy to use and can be used in any type of mission, either against mobs or bosses.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★★★ | ★★★★★ | ★★★ |
Assault Rifles are the second-best weapons in the game. A classic through and through, Assault Rifles have decent damage and ammo capacity, with their fire rate slightly higher than Machine Guns, they remain viable for any mission type in the game.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★★★ | ★★★★★ | ★★★ |
With its high fire rate and reload speed, SMGs dominate mob clearing, shining best against trash mobs. It's a different story when it comes to pushing the weapon to higher content though, as its ammo capacity limits the weapon against elite mobs.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★★★ | ★★★ | ★★★★ |
Hand Cannons are best used against bosses and elite mobs, shining best for destroying weak spots. With its high damage, fire rate, and scopeless aiming, it allows you to be precise while being aware of your surroundings. The only downside is that this weapon type performs poorly when mob-clearing.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★★★ | ★★★★ | ★★ |
Sniper Rifles deal the highest single-shot damage in the game and is can be great as your high-power round slot in. However, the ammo capacity for snipers is also extremely low, making the weapon very situational for some Descendants.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★ | ★★★★ | ★★★★ |
With high ammo capacity and pulse-firing mode, Tactical Rifles are great for dealing headshots or weak spot damage to elite mobs and bosses. The only downside is the weapon's a bit hard to use as you'll have to spam your fire button to continuously damage enemies.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★ | ★★★★★ | ★★★ |
Similar to SMGs, Beam Rifles pack a punch and deal continuous damage that's more than enough for mob clearing. However, ammo capacity is the weapon's downside, needing to reload often while fighting against elite mobs is troublesome.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★ | ★★★ | ★★ |
Shotguns are currently in a weak state, often outclassed by any weapon type due to their short range, fire rate, and scattered damage.
Performance | Ease-of-Use | Ammo Capacity |
---|---|---|
★★★ | ★★★ | ★★ |
Scout Rifles are great for characters that have low defense as the weapon allows you to deal high damage from safe spots. The downside of this weapon is its ammo capacity, as you cannot replenish ammo if you're not looting it from enemy drops. Additionally, it can be hard to use if enemies are able to get into close range.
