Recover HP by Picking Up HP Orbs

The First Descendant - HP Orb How to Recover
HP can be recovered by picking up HP Orbs dropped by defeated enemies. Although these orbs don't always appear, you typically receive one for every five enemies you defeat. In boss battles, where you take significant damage, make sure to actively defeat the summoned smaller enemies to increase your chances of obtaining HP Orbs.

MP can be replenished by collecting MP Orbs dropped by defeated enemies. Since MP is consumed when using skills, keep an eye on the blue gauge and regularly pick up MP Orbs to restore your MP.

What's the Difference Between HP and Shield?

The Red Gauge is HP

The First Descendant - HP and Shield How to Recover
In The First Descendant, the red gauge represents your HP (Health Points). When you take damage, the white gauge, representing your shield, absorbs the initial impact. Once the shield is fully depleted, any remaining damage reduces your HP.

White Gauge is Shield and Recovers Over Time

The white gauge above the HP gauge represents your Shield. This shield automatically replenishes over time if you remain undamaged for a certain period. It acts as a protective barrier, absorbing incoming damage before your HP is affected.

Other Enemy Drops

Enemies Drop Ammunition

Rounds can also be acquired by defeating enemies in The First Descendant. These come in purple, green, and white variants, so it's essential to collect them regularly, especially when your ammunition runs low.
