You can choose between Private Intercept and Public Intercept when playing Void Intercept Battles. It is highly recommended to use Public Intercept when playing solo to join other players in the boss fight.
The bosses you encounter in Void Intercept Battles have destructible parts that you can shoot to expose their weakpoints. Additionally, they will be stunned for a short duration after breaking these parts. Try to destroy these parts as soon as possible and focus on shooting their weakpoints to deal more damage.
If a breakable part turns yellow, it means you can use your grapple to mount the colossus and rip off the destructible part. Use this to your advantage by positioning yourself properly to mount the colossus and instantly break off parts.
Players who run out of HP will be in a downed state and won't be able to attack the colossus. Make sure to rescue anyone in your party to avoid deaths during your run. In Void Intercept Battles, your team is allowed to die up to three times before the mission fails.
Clearing Void Intercept Battles rewards you with a couple of weapons, reactors, external component, and modules that you can use to further strengthen your character. These items are dropped after defeating the boss and must be picked up before you return to Albion.
After the boss fight, you can use the Reconstructed Device to obtain the contents of the Amorphous Materials you are carrying. Each boss has a different Linked Amorphous Material, meaning specific Amorphous Material Patterns can only be opened by defeating a specific boss.
There are two ways to join the Void Intercept Battle. The first is by accessing it using the World Map and clicking on the Void Intercept Battle Icon at the bottom left. This will immediately open the Void Intercept Battle Menu.
Alternatively, you can also speak with Seneca in the center of Albion. However, since you can access the World Map from anywhere, joining using that method is easier.
The first Void Intercept Battle can be unlocked by progressing through Kingston's main story and clearing the Scourge of Humanity Quest. To unlock subsequent Void Intercept Battles, you will need to further progress in the main story.
Void Intercept Battle is raid content where you must defeat a Colossi to earn rewards and reconstruct Linked Amorphous Materials. You can play this game mode solo, party up with up to four friends, or matchmake with other players.
The First Descendant supports cross-platform play between PC (Steam Version) and PlayStation (Console Version). Whether you're on your PC or PlayStation, you can play with players from other platforms, even in the Void Intercept Battle.
