The most recommended use of the Research Institute is to prioritize researching Descendants and Descendant Materials to unlock new Descendants. This not only expands the scope of gameplay but also allows you to earn Mastery Rank by leveling up the newly unlocked characters.
Characters List and How to Unlock All Descendants
After raising your Mastery Rank to 6, prioritizing the research of Precise Ion Accelerator in the Enhancement Material to upgrade your reactors is highly recommended. Enhancing the reactor increases skill power.
As you progress through the Main Quest, weapons obtained at higher levels can offer greater DPS, making it less critical to prioritize crafting Ultimate Weapons early on.
However, materials obtained from subquests for weapons like Thunder Cage or Nazeistra's Devotion are easier to acquire and may be worth crafting. If you decide to craft Ultimate Weapons, it's advisable to also research the Precise Phase Converter and Precise Control Axis to enhance your weapons effectively.
In the Research Institute, you can unlock Descendants, Weapons, and Enhancement Materials. Additionally, you can research Weapon Materials and Descendant Materials that are required in unlocking them. Researching requires materials. Once you hand over the materials, the crafting process will be completed over a period of time.
Anais is located in the western part of Albion. Speak with her to gain access to the Research Institute and begin unlocking descendants, weapons, and enhancement materials.
