How to Paint Skins

The First Descendant - Weapon Skin

You can paint over your Descendant and Weapon Skins by going to the Customize tab in The First Descendant. Read on to know more about how to get paint and how to paint your Descendant and weapon skins with this guide!

How to Use Paint

Open Inventory and Choose Customize

The First Descendant - Descendant Skin Paint
Going to your Customize tab will give you access to both Descendant and weapon skins. From there you can choose either Body or Head skin for the Descendant you want.

Weapon skins are also accessible via the Customize tab and can be painted as well. Not all weapons will have extra skins. What this means is that you will not be able to paint over them or change how they look.

Select a Slot to Paint Skins

The First Descendant - Gangster Weapon Skin

Make use of the blank slots available in order to assign the paint color you want. Each slot will cover a different region of the Descendant or weapon you have selected.

Hovering over the skins will give you the option to change its color, this will open another menu that lets you apply different kinds of paint you have unlocked for the skin you have chosen. Do note however that some head skins cannot have their colors changed.

You can Use the Same Paint on Multiple Slots

There is no need to worry about purchasing multiple copies of the same paint as you can simply use the ones you already have for the slot you wish to paint on.

The First Descendant - Battle Pass Rewards

You can get paint for your Descendants and weapons by progressing through the battle pass. There are currently two paintjobs you can get as a reward when you reach Lv. 6 and Lv. 13.

The First Descendant - Journal Awards

Head into the awards section under the Journal tab. Choose any category or location you want in order to see the objectives inside. The objectives will sometimes contain paint items that you can use on the skins you have.

Purchase with Caliber

The First Descendant - Caliber

Getting paint instantly is also possible with the use of Caliber, which is the game's premium currency.
