Rei's best build focuses on applying damage buffs to the party and setting up a turn to further increase the damage of one card that the main DPS uses. She specializes in increasing the damage output of any card from any type of DPS characters while having access to draws and healing.

She is best suited with the 2/2/2 set consisting of Healer's Journey, Tetra's Authority and Black Wing to increase the health pool of the team and heal more.

Her favored chaos zone is Laboratory 0 to get her best equipment such as Crimson Sword for Agony stack infliction that enables the usage of Cursed Corpse set to your main DPS. Fragment of the Empty Void to get a better turn 1 start by discard 3 cards you don't want and drawing the amount of discarded cards and Superconductive Protein for a card discount making turn 1 much easier to play especially if some of the cards of her team is expensive.

Out of all the team combination, Rei's best performing team is with Mei Lin and Veronica. Mei Lin's goal is to constantly punch the enemies with her 0-cost strike cards and then finishing it off with a multi-hit Rising Dragon Spire. Veronica acts as a support that helps draw cards for her teammates and fuel Mei Lin's Rising Dragon Spire along the way. She can also deal free damage in the form of ballistas.

Rei's job in this team is to provide buffs to Mei Lin that can significantly raise the damage output of any of her cards.

Can FIt in Any Team Comp

Rei has the unique ability to have most of her cards in her kit be a universal damage buff to any cards with some epiphanies favoring Void characters more.

As such, she can fit in any team as long as there is a main DPS character she can buff their attack cards and either another controller, vanguard or a sub-DPS to fill in the third spot based on what the team needs but she shines best when paired with someone who has low damage multipliers but hits a lot with one attack card.

The most important cards for Rei are her attack buff cards such as Strike of Darkness, Resonating Darkness, and Dark Condensation. These cards allow her to boost further the damage of our main DPS attack cards to comfortably deal huge damage, especially for Void characters.

Your choice of Resonating Darkness epiphany must be the 1 AP or lower version so the buffs will affect Mei Lin's basic cards while Dark Condensation can be the upgrade version so that it will leave your deck once used and should always target Rising Dragon Spire.

On the other hand, Strike of Darkness should be the upgrade version of it so that you only need to use it once in a battle while Snack Time lets Rei thin out the deck and draw cards to setup our main-DPS as early and consistently as possible.

Lastly, make sure you have Predator's Blade in your deck so that you can make use of the Morale buff further increase the damage output of the team. Since you will surely get the Sleeping Memory Manifest Ego for free, this allows you to have 4 Morale to reach a total of 80% increased damage in a single use.

As for Mei Lin, she needs her entire kit to fully work which includes the +1 hit per passion card epiphany of Rising Dragon Spire, the move version of Unity of Attack and Defense and more damage for Flame Dragon's Jewel and Spirit of the Aromata. This is Mei Lin's best cards and Rei should always buff Rising Dragon Spire whenever it is ready.

Veronica on the other hand, must have the 0 AP cost of Repose for free draw 2 and another draw 2 from Sir Kowalski. Other cards can be anything as it is not that important in this build.

The best partner for Rei is Nyx due to her ability to apply damage buffs for the team every time Rei uses Snack Time. Furthermore, her Ego Skill allows you to redraw 3 cards so you can setup your main DPS efficiently.

Rei should aim for Health and Defense for her main and substats as she doesn't really need any damage for her cards. This will ensure that your team can survive more attacks from the enemy, increase healing output with defense and can have more breathing room especially for team comps that doesn't have any reliable healer.

Rei's best equipment can only be found in Laboratory 0. Crimson Sword can be found in any chaos inside shops and will inflict 3 Agony per turn after using an attack card. This is great if your DPS has the Cursed Corpse set for more damage, otherwise it is free damage. Fragment of the Empty Void to get a better hand at turn 1. Superconductive Protein for a much easier turn 1 especially if it can discount a card that costs 2 AP or more.

If you aren't able to get the best, you can settle for these equipment that can be found in any chaos zone inside shops. Flashbang for the start of battle 3 stacks of Weaken to a single enemy or randomly spread to multiple enemies. Titan Combat Suit for extra healing after getting hit. Multifaceted Parallel Universe Nexus to activate the only lead card Rei has if you ever need it.

Use Dark Condensation on Multi-Hit Attacks

Use Dark Condensation on Multi-Hit Attacks

Rei's Dark Condensation adds damage to any selected card in your hand. Since the buff is additive, it is best to use it on cards that contains higher than 2 hit counts so that each additive buff is applied to each hit.

Multiple Copies of Dark Condensation Increases Damage Buff Per Use

If Rei has multiple copies of Dark Condensation in a single turn, she can use all of it on a single card and each copy will add more damage to it for 1 turn or she can spread it out to multiple cards.

For example, Dark Condensation at its base form adds +100% damage amount for 1 turn. If you use 3 copies of it in one attack card, it will add a total of +300% damage amount to it.

Dark Condensation 4 Does Not Stack on the Same Card

This stacking damage applies to all of Dark Condensation epiphany except for one, which is the 4th epiphany of Dark Condensation. Multiple copies or usage of Dark Condensation will not increase the damage buff it provides but the card range increases to include all cards instead of your hand only and can last until it is used.

Resonating Darkness Applies to Unusable Cards as 0 AP

The 4th epiphany of Resonating Darkness which includes 0 AP cost cards is also applicable to unusable cards such as Veronica's Ballistas or Luke's Finisher Round as they are treated as 0 AP cards.

Resonating Darkness Does Not Apply to Passive Effects

Do take note that Resonating Darkness specifically states that it only buffs cards whether it is in your hand, draw pile, used pile or discard pile. Therefore, passive effects such as Beryl's Opening Found or Hugo's Commence the Hunt will not be buffed by it.
