Clear all the content that Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN) has to offer to quickly earn experience and raise your Captain Level! Check out all the methods you can use to level up fast, and learn why achieving a high Captain Level is so important in this guide!

Use up your Aether on Simulations to receive experience. You'll earn 400 XP for every 20 Aether used or 600 XP for every 30 Aether. The Tear of God item can be used to replenish 60 Aether, which can be helpful to reach level 40 fast.
Stamina Guide: How to Recharge Aether

The Garden Cafe in Ark City offers two options for replenishing Aether. You can either restore 80 Aether instantly or store 60 Aether in an Aether Empty Powder to use later. It’s generally best to choose the 80 Aether option, as it gives you 20 more Aether than the alternative.
You can also use Crystals to replenish your Aether up to eight times per day. It’s best to use only the first two recharges, as they cost just 50 Crystals for 60 Aether. The third through eighth recharges cost more Crystals, so it’s better to save them for summons instead.

The Growth Guide missions offer items and experience as rewards for completing them, and clearing all missions in a section rewards you with Tears of God (for more stamina), Rescue Anchors, Signal Amplification Anchor, and Crystals. It’s ideal to complete these tasks, as they not only provide valuable rewards but also help guide you on what to do next if you ever feel unsure about your progress.

The Daily Missions reward you with 1500 experience upon completion. Simply doing a few Simulation runs until you’ve spent 120 Aether will usually earn enough points to claim all available rewards.
Dailies Guide: What to Do Every Day

Winning a boss encounter in Chaos Manifestation runs grants you the opportunity to use your Loot Certification Cards to claim 1,200 experience points, along with a few materials for leveling up your combatants and partners. You’ll earn four cards each week, bringing the total rewards to 4,800 experience points.
You can also use 60 Aether for Chaos Loot if you don't have any Loot Certification Cards left, to earn the 1200 experience.

Complete all story missions across every chapter, including the sub-stories, as these reward experience upon completion. The amount of experience granted increases in later chapters.
You should also clear battle missions on both Normal and Hard modes to gain additional experience. Doing so also allows you to progress toward promotion missions, which let you promote your combatants and raise their maximum level.

Some policies unlock additional battle missions, allowing you to earn extra experience upon completion. These appear randomly, so it’s best to prioritize approving the policies that unlock these stages over the alternative choice.

Trauma Codes function similarly to story missions, allowing you to experience tailored stories for specific characters and earn rewards, including experience, for each stage completed. You can unlock Trauma Codes by purchasing Special Security Codes from Nono’s Shop in Ark City.

As of writing, Haru has an event related to her Trauma Code that functions similarly to the battle missions. Complete the event before it expires to claim the rewards!
It's possible that new combatants will also have a similar limited-time event in the future.

Certain game modes are locked behind the Captain Level, such as the Basin of Hyperspace, which unlocks upon reaching Captain Level 30, and the Zero System, which becomes available at Level 40.

Increasing your Captain Level unlocks promotion missions, allowing you to promote your combatants and partners to raise their maximum level. This makes them stronger through improved stats and enables you to unlock more of their potential nodes.

Completing promotion missions and leveling up your combatants allows you to take on higher difficulties in simulation runs, where higher-tier materials are rewarded. This enables you to start farming materials for endgame content as soon as possible.

Each Captain Level grants rewards ranging from materials used to level up your combatants and partners to items like Rescue Anchors and Signal Amplification Anchor, which are used to pull on banners.
