Break Down Items to a Lower Rarity

Dismantling is the process of breaking down higher-rarity materials into lower-rarity materials for a set Unit cost. This works for all Upgrade Materials, and is a more efficient way of farming for lower-tier materials as you reach higher levels.

Get Particles of Memory by Dismantling

You can dismantle unwanted Memory Fragments to obtain Particles of Memory. You will need plenty of Particles of Memory towards the end of the game, as you will want to continuously upgrade your Memory Fragments to obtain ideal substats.

Should You Dismantle Items?

Dismantle Items As Needed

Dismantling items is generally beneficial because it allows you to manage your Aether more efficiently. Dismantling materials will give a higher quantity of lower-tier materials, allowing you to build new characters faster.

It also allows you to use leftover materials to upgrade new characters, reducing the amount of Aether needed to build them. Make sure you have enough units to cover the dismantling costs.

How to Dismantle Items

Through the Storage Menu

From your home screen, go to the Storage menu and select Dismantle in the bottom right corner of the screen. The Storage menu displays all the items you currently have and their quantities.

It is possible to access the Dismantle Items menu when upgrading a Combatant. You will see an Obtain Through Dismantling when you have insufficient materials, and it will immediately bring you to the Dismantle menu.
