Owen and Nia are our recommended supports for a Veronica DPS setup. This setup requires specific epiphany choices, mainly from Owen to allow Veronica to use multiple Ballista shots in a single turn.

Owen and Nia are the best team to pair with a DPS Veronica, as she needs shields and heals, access to extra damage buffs, and AoE damage. Veronica also needs characters with a lot of skill cards for a higher chance to create more ballistas in hand.

Main DPS Veronica wants to create as many ballistas as possible and increase reload stacks to increase the damage of all the created ballistas. She needs Sir Kowalksi's epiphany, where it makes more ballistas when you exhaust one ballista. If she did not get this epiphany, it is almost always worth to restart the run and try again.

Sub-DPS Veronica's only job is to empower her one and only ballista every turn and draw for the other party members using Repose. She needs all of her cards as cheap as possible and everything else removed except cards that help her draw cards or reload.

Nia should choose cards that can search the deck and be able to activate a selected card multiple times. This lets you cycle more Sir Kowalski to create more ballista shots more or chasing further upgrades from Owen's card set to activate upgrade effects for the fight and thin the deck.

Mika's card must accumulate the most amount of Wave stacks and give the most AP to prepare for multiple usage of Veronica's Sir Kowalski card in one turn. Veronica's card must revolve around making more copies of Sir Kowalski and at the right time, can be played 2-3 times in one turn, preferably every other turn.

Marin for Increased Extra Damage

Marin Marin Passive Effect:
Azure Fury - The Extra Attack damage of cards generated by the assigned combatant's abilities increase by 15%. When the assigned combatant uses a Skill Card, +25% Extra Attack damage for 1 turn.
Ego Skill:
Raging Wave - 200% Damage to all enemies. Draw 1 skill card.

Marin synergizes well with Main-DPS Veronica as she increases extra damage and furthermore when using a skill card. Her ego skill also draws a skill card and provides an extra damage buff, which is perfect for buffing every single one of her ballistas.

Solia provides a 10% attack card damage buff for 1 turn when Sub-DPS Veronica draws a card. She also buffs her extra damage, and her ego skill deals damage and puts a stack of mark on the target.

Alternative Budget Partner

Partner Explanation
Daisy Daisy Daisy is the only 4-star Ranger partner that is suited for Veronica, no matter what build it is. She has a chance to get a Morale buff once per turn and can provide one with her ego skill.
Nakia Nakia Nakia is the only 3-star Ranger partner provides attack buffs when allies kill an enemy in a battle.

Each of these sets only requires two pieces to activate their set effects, which provide simple stat boosts. The Black Wing set increases Selena’s Attack by 12%, the Executioner set boosts her Critical Damage by 25%, and Tetra’s Authority raises her Defense by an additional 12%.

For both main stats and substats, aim for Passion Damage, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and Attack. Critical Chance is much preferred over Damage at the start, especially with the Executioner's Set immediately giving us Damage, and we'll want more crit chances to trigger critical strikes in the first place.

Both Veronica builds utilize these combination of equipment that can only be found in Swamp of Judgment. These gears provide bonuses such as more extra attack damage and more to vulnerable targets. Verdant Night is a bonus that gives her more stats on even turns.

Gather A Lot of Ballistas With Main DPS Veronica

Main DPS Veronica wants to accumulate as many ballistas as possible to deal a huge amount of damage to an enemy if her reload is at max stack. She can easily deal over thousands of damage but requires careful hand management because of the 10-card limit.

Owen's Wind Charge Can Activate Ballista Twice

Owen's epiphany that lets other party members hit twice can activate Veronica's ballista twice. Another thing is that it doesn't consume the Wind Charge that means she basically has permanent +1 hit to her ballistas as long as you don't consume the Wind Charge.

Draw Cards Using Repose

Chaos Zero Nightmare - Repose Card
Veronica's strongest card, Repose, makes her fit in any team that lacks any card draw. However, her use is most prominent in Haru and Mika's team, where the game plan revolves around fishing for copies of Anchor Shots.

I’m surprised the Selena isn’t recommended anywhere as a potential teammate. She applies Passion weakness, Mark for extra damage, and has lots of skill cards to fuel Veronica’s reload. These two together decimate the battlefield. They’ve breezed through a lot of tough battles together that the other 5* struggled with.
