Epiphany upgrades your card with new effects, like better damage, more buffs, increased healing, and more. You can activate the Epiphany once a yellow or golden light appears on top of a card during battle. These upgrades are permanent and will be available on the Save Data.

The Epiphany result doesn't consume AP once you use it for the first time, so it's always best to use it to get an upgrade for your card and trigger the effects immediately. However, the initial card with the Epiphany mark will require you to use AP.
| Combatant | Combatant Epiphany will allow your character to get a random Unique Card. Unique Cards are the ones displayed on a character card set. |
|---|---|
| Card | Card Epiphany will only trigger on the Unique Card that you got through Combatant Epiphany. You will be given a chance to select 1 from the 3 random bonus effects when you trigger this Epiphany. |
| Divine | Divine Epiphany will also give you a chancce to choose 1 from the random, but superior effects. Unfortunately, they come rarely, but you can get more chances to trigger it on higher difficulty Chaos Zones. |
There are three different Epiphany Types, the Combatant, Card, and Divine Epiphanies. You will start on Combatant first, then Card, and Divine Epiphanies last.

Epiphany randomly appears during combat and it doesn't have a set spawn time. Look out for those yellow glints to see if an Epiphany is ready for a card.
You will know if you will get one on the current battle if you see a light on your Deck.

Divine Epiphanies may sometimes occur when triggering regular epiphanies, granting additional effects on top of the original epiphany. Choosing the Divine Epiphany can be a good option for the extra benefits, but you can still select other options if the Divine Epiphany’s effect doesn’t fit your intended playstyle.

Unlocking the first potential node for each combatant allows you to immediately obtain an Epiphany when you start a Chaos run. If all combatants in the Chaos run have their first potential unlocked, you'll receive three Epiphanies.
Potential Guide: How to Upgrade

You can get an Epiphany through random events while doing Chaos runs. These random events appear on nodes with a Question Mark (?).
It usually gives the base level Epiphany, but you may sometimes get Card Epiphanies as well.
