Cassius best team is Tressa and Mika. Tressa's goal is to create as many Shadow Daggers as possible thanks to Mika who provides healing and AP recovery for the team. Cassius' job is to collect as many Triple 0 as possible after playing a lot of Shadow Daggers then playing all the Triple 0 cards to deal a lot of single-target damage.

Mika

Cassius best cards for this build must have the Dice Trick epiphany that creates a random quest card for each quest completion. He also need to activate Triple 0 and getting the option to choose a quest is also a viable epiphany for Pop Eyed Popper. He also needs a lot of his cards to cost 0.
Cassius has the ability to draw cards and lets you choose a specific card from the draw pile, opening up more opportunities for combos.
Cassius shines best when paired with characters that deal a ton of damage. His ability to draw cards eases the setup for combinations, making him an ideal utility teammate for multiple builds.
Here are some of the team composition that makes well use of Cassius ability:
| Character | Build Details |
|---|---|
Haru
|
Haru's best team consists of Mika and Cassius, who support her by providing AP and cycling her cards so she can use Anchor Shot as often as possible. This team is focused on dealing as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time, while maintaining decent survivability. |
Renoa
|
Renoa's team allows her to keep on stacking Dirge Bulelts from her hand or her discard pile to use with her Last-Ditch Assault or Black Thorn. This team composition is ideal for dealing high single-target damage, but can also work for normal enemy groups. |
Rin
|
Rin's team makes full use of Orlea's various Skill Cards and Cassius' target draws to easily activate Dark Cloud Stance and deal huge single-target damage throughout the fight. |
Yuki
|
Yuki excels in dealing high AoE Order Damage, but needs characters that help her draw cards and cycle the deck fast to play around her Inspiration mechanics. Veronica and Cassius are the best team for Yuki as both excel in providing draws while dealing significant damage and survivability. |

Ego Skill: Resonance - Discard up to 3 cards, then Draw +1 cards equal to the number discarded |
The best partner for Cassius is Nyx as her passive allows Cassius's teammates to deal more damage when Cassius draws cards. On top of that her ego skill also synergizes with Cassius's card draws. When played as a team, this partner setup allows you to narrow down the RNG of your card pulls.

Healer's Journey Set Healer's Journey Set +12% Max HP |
Tetra's Authority Set Tetra's Authority Set +12% Defense |
Black Wing Set Black Wing Set +12% Attack |
The optimal Memory Fragment combination for Cassius is basically Healer's Journey, Tetra's Authority, and Black Wing sets, granting increases to Health, Defense, and Attacks. This fits Cassius as he does not really need complex cards to increase his damage, but it's important to increase his defenses to last longer in fights.
For your main stat and substar priority, it's best to focus on Defense to increase Cassius' survivability to keep him longer in fights. Cassius is an integral part of teams as he can make damage setups easier for Main DPS characters.

Cassius' main gimmick is the Quest Cards that lets him deal damage that stacks, draw card, heal or buff your damage and defense. These two are the best quest to take because Full House is generally best in most cases while Triple-0 enables insane combos.
Cassius Potential 7 gives 1 Morale for 1 turn after completing a quest. He can complete a quest multiple times in one turn and you can get multiple stacks of morale in a single turn if played right.
This combo lets you create a lot of Shadow Daggers and Triple-0's in one turn. Once enabled, every turn you can deal a lot of damage when played right but you need fulfill these requirements first:
