Distortion Adaptation modifies characters' stats and power whenever their level is lower than the Chaos Manifestation's recommendation in Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN). Learn more about Distortion Adaptation and how to take advantage of it to improve your Chaos runs!

What is Distortion Adaptation?
Feature that Adjusts Character Level for Chaos Runs
Distortion Adaptation is a new feature available in the Burning Life Chaos Manifestation introduced in Season 2: Seed of Karmic Fire. This feature increases a Combatant's or Partner's level and stats if their level is lower than the recommended level of the infiltrated Chaos.
A character's level will be adjusted to a Baseline Level close to the recommended Chaos level, and additional stats will be granted based on the recommended Memory Fragments for the run. A recommended Partner for the Combatant will also be assigned, and Potential Nodes will be unlocked to match the recommended level.
Benefits of Using Distortion Adaptation
Allows the Use of the Character Without Investment
The primary benefit of this feature is the ability to use newly acquired or low-level Combatants in an endgame setting without investing materials and Aether in them. This will help you determine whether the Combatant's playstyle is suitable for you or if a specific synergy is effective with the current roster that you have.
