Pity is part of the gacha system for all the banners and can carry over limited banners in Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN). Learn more about the banners and the pull rates, pity system, as well as see the frequently asked questions here!
List of Contents

With the way the gacha system is set up, pity rates are the same across all banners. You will get a guaranteed 4-Star for every 10 pulls and 5-Star every 70 rescues. You can still get them early if you get lucky with your pulls.
| Banner | 4-Star Character | 5-Star Character |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Combatant Rescue | 10 Rescues | 70 Rescues |
| Normal Partner Rescue | 10 Rescues | 70 Rescues |
| Limited Combatant Rescue | 10 Rescues | 70 Rescues |
| Limited Partner Rescue | 10 Rescues | 70 Rescues |
| Observe Prism Module | 10 Observation | 70 Observation |
| Combatant and Partner Banners | |
|---|---|
| 5-Star | 1% Base Chance / 3.5273% Combined +4.5% Chance on Each Pull after the 57th Rescue Onwards |
| 4-Star | 6% Base Chance / 12.9831% Combined |
| Prism Module Banner | |
| 5-Star | 3% Base Chance / 3.5273% Combined +4.5% Chance on Each Pull after the 57th Rescue Onwards |
| 4-Star | 6% Base Chance / 12.9690% Combined |
These are the probability rates for the 4-star and 5-star characters and items from the banners. In CZN's gacha system, Soft Pity applies to all banners and will start after the 57th rescue.

Limited Banners feature new Combatants and Partners coming into the game. Limited Banners usually start when a new version comes out and end once that version ends.
You will need a total of 70 rescues to get a guaranteed 5-star, and win the 50/50 to get the featured characters. If you lose to the 50/50, you will get the featured characters on your next 5-star rescue.

Standard Banners offer base 5-star characters you can get on the game's release (not including the first limited banners). These are permenant banners that won't reset even if a new version comes out.
You are guaranteed to get a 5-star after 70 rescues, but the rates are equal to all base 5-star characters. For Standard Partner Banner, you can select which one gets a higher chance of appearing when you get a 5-star.

Similar to other gacha titles, Chaos Zero Nightmare features a one-time Beginner Banner where you can get a guaranteed base 5-star character. This banner will stay up even if you get a 5-star character early, and will only be removed once you do the 50 rescues.
If you're planning to reroll, you can also use this banner to get a meta 5-star character or your desired character.
Special Request Banner Information

You can get a 5-star cosmetic card animation in the Prism Module Banner after 70 pulls. You can choose which one you can get, which may appear during or after 70 pulls. You can change the character any time and the pity count will remain unchanged.
Note that this banner only offers cosmetic item for your character card, and it doesn't give any stats or effects to any of the characters.
Eternal Moment Banner Information
Pity progress carries over between banners in Chaos Zero Nightmare. When a Limited Banner ends, your current pity (e.g., 50/70 rescues) will carry into the next banner of the same type instead of resetting. This means you will not lose your built up pity when banners rotate.
| # of Pulls | Chance |
|---|---|
| First 57 Pulls | 1% Base Chance |
| 58th Pulls Onward | 4.5% Each Pull |
Soft Pity is available in Chaos Zero Nightmare. It starts at the 58th Rescue or Pulls, which will increase your chance of getting the 5-Star by 4.5% each time you make a pull. For example, you will get a total of 5.5% chance of getting a 5-star once you hit the 58th pull.
If you get a 5-star character early, the pity will reset to 0 when you get the 5-star. For example, if your current pity is at 30, it will reset back to zero if you get the 5-star character on the 31st.

So far, the only thing that can happen when it changes is that the featured characters will end up on the Standard Banners after their banner expire.
Your pity from the previous limited banner will carry over to the next one, so you do not need to worry about losing the pity you build up.
List of All Banners: Which Banner to Pull?

All banners have an indicator of how many more rescues or pulls you need to do to get the 5-star. You will find it on the bottom part of the banner.

Partners are considered the weapons in the game, and they have their separate banners from the Combatants. Partners have a Standard and Limited Banners, just like the Combatants.
