| Guilty Pleasure can be changed from epiphany 1 to epiphany 4 if you want to hasten spore creation at the cost of 1 morale and a faster deck cycling. | ||
Opening Found's upgrade epiphany is the main damage source for Beryl and with the new season 2's Contaminated Spore, populating Beryl's hands with retain just got much faster due to the spore's self duplicating nature.

Magna is a great combatant to bring due to her multitude of upgrade cards that lets the team gain passive shields and vulnerable triggers. Her kit being upgrade focused also means she still provides high amounts of value to the team after Beryl populated your entire hand with her retain cards.
For a secondary combatant, Mika is a great source of AP and healing which you'll need to setup your upgrade cards during the first few turns. Ideally having card draw epiphanies to her deck as well to help the team with card cycling and completing all upgrade requirements.

Veronica can speed up your deck cycling with Repose and Sir Kowalski. However, her damage output from her Ballista will be obsolete once Beryl fills up the hand while not providing any value to the team after. |

|
Orlea's main purpose in the build is to quickly populate the deck with spores via retain activation. Spore already ramps up quickly but making it ramp immediately before using Beryl's upgrade card is not recommended. She'a an option if you do wish to accelerate spore repopulation but AP and card draw is much more needed with this variation of Beryl's build. |

Her most important card is Opening Found, which has the Epiphany effect where Beryl deals Extra Attack to enemies whenever her cards are Retained. You should aim to duplicate this card as much as possible, since having multiple stacks will trigger the extra attacks many times.
Beryl's epiphany choice for Guilty Pleasure is the one that gives a permanent Morale buff. Duplicating this enables her to draw all of her Opening Founds and provide more damage boost to her extra attacks.
Since this build revolves around extra attacks, Unlimited Firepower is best removed as every epiphany of it can only buff attack cards but not extra attack damage. Alternatively, you can also get its upgrade epiphany so you'll only have to use it once to remove if during the fight.

Most of the required cards from the other combatants are either exhaust cards or upgrade cards to maximize the value you get from the occupised hand space for Beryl. You'll also want to target upgrades that grants agony per turn to activate the Cursed Corpse set to truly maximize the DPS of Beryl's build.
Magna's setup lets you apply Vulnerable per counter and Ice Fragment supplies the counter attack needs and Beryl's card selection are just waves to supply your team with extra AP while your hand isn't set up yet. After the deck cycle, you'll be left with no cards to draw and only spores to duplicate for Beryl which will easily fill the hand by turn 3-4.

The best partner for Beryl is Rosaria as she will help draw Opening Founds and help stack the epiphany effect early when you use her Ego Skill. She also gives morale buffs whenever a skill or upgrade card is used.

The Black Wing Set further boosts her Attack stat, while the Executioner’s Tool Set increases her Critical Damage, especially useful since she has many chances to deal critical hits through her Extra Attack damage. The Cursed Corpse Set helps damage against enemies with Agony so make sure you have a way to inflict Agony.

For both main stats and substats, aim for Justice Damage, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, and Attack. Justice damage is a direct multiplier, and you'll want to prioritize Extra Damage as it can increase her retain damage much more than stacking attack. You also want to bump up her critical chance to make use of her high critical damage stats.

Intellect of Discord is the best weapon to have for Beryl which can be obtained by defeating Senectus. For alternative weapons, the Second Method is a great option as it amplifies our main source of damage which is our extra attacks from Opening Found's upgrade. Fairy King's crown is great for amping our critical strike chance further for more reliable damage and lastly, Amorphous CUbe for extra damage stats.
Since we don't use attack cards for damage, the 50% damage increase from no attack card use is the best refinement to aim for when running season 2 content.

With the options for Burning Life, Intellect of Discord should be the best weapon of choice which can be obtained from Senectus but without the invader fight, Second Method as an alternative is a decent choice for maximizing our damage output. Fairy King's Crown is a good source of additional damage with Beryl's Opening found attacks and lastly, Amorphous Cube as a cheap additive damage to the huge amount of extra attacks we dish out.

Retain Beryl's Cards to Trigger Extra Attack Damage
Aim to use all of Beryl’s Opening Found cards to increase the number of times she deals Extra Attack damage for each of her own cards that are retained. It’s important not to use her Retain-tagged cards, as keeping them in your hand is what allows her to deal high damage each turn.
You should also make use of her Heavy Weapons Specialist card to generate additional Retain cards, giving you even more opportunities to trigger Extra Attack.

It should be noted that Beryl has one of the best copyable cards as a sub-dps. Opening Found has an epiphany that turns it into an upgrade for 150% damage per card retained at the end of turn. I have a save with 3 Opening Found and 2 Hidden Bullet. Even though she isn't fully built with an initial AP investment of 3 she puts out 3k damage per turn while the rest of the AP go to healing and main dps.
