When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+ Atk / - Spd

The best IVs for Basilio are +Atk and -Spd. His Atk is a superboon and should be boosted as it is his most important stat.

Basilio's Spd is average; not high enough where investment will significantly change his matchup chart. It can be taken as your bane of choice.

Alternatively, you may instead opt for a Res bane and have Basilio focus as a pure physical tank.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Basilio to +10 for the same reasons mentioned above. His Atk needs to be boosted as much as possible.

Basilio is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Basilio Strengths

Spirited Axe+ boosts Atk/Def and grants Special acceleration on enemy attacks

Basilio was able to activate Moonbow thanks to the Special acceleration!

Basilio comes with a new inheritable weapon Spirited Axe+.

It grants Atk/Def+4 during combat and Special acceleration per foe's attack during combat as long as the unit wielding it has a bonus active.

Certain skills like Rouse and Oath skills grant bonuses to the unit during the start of each turn. This weapon is best used together with those skills!

Basilio Weaknesses

Basilio entire base kit requires allies to function

Basilio's base kit cannot trigger the condition of Spirited Axe+ and Atk/Def Bond 3 if he is alone.

Additionally, if he is alone, then his C skill Atk Tactic 3 does absolutely nothing.

He requires the aid of other allies to maximize the effects of his base kit.

A savvy opponent will leave Basilio alone and focus on his teammates if Basilio is fielding his base kit. Remedy this by using Skill Inheritance to allow Basilio to function better alone, or simply keep his allies alive at all times!

Base kit is nothing special, especially for a 6th generation unit

Basilio's base kit is very outdated with the exception of Spirited Axe+.

These skills were relevant in earlier metagames, but will falter in today's battles.

Basilio requires significant investment in order to be competitive.
