When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-Res

Bartre's recommended IVs are +Atk and -Res. A raised Atk stat will simply make his already high Atk stat even better, increasing his usability. Also, if you are planning on giving him a Brave Axe, a higher Atk stat will raise its usefulness. His Res is clearly a dump stat, so lowering it further will not make a huge difference to his overal ability.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a somewhat budget build that makes use of Brave Axe+. Bartre’s high Atk and low Spd stats are perfect for the Brave Axe’s effects. Lancebreaker 3 allows him to quad Lance users.

How to Use, Explanation

This build makes use of the refined form of Axe of Virility. Bartre’s skills can be greatly enhanced with Fury in the A slot. Because this has the negative effect of draining his HP, we recommenced equipping Desperation 3 in the B slot. When his HP drops below a threshold, he will be able to make a guaranteed follow-up (regardless of the opponent’s Spd) attack before the foe can make a counterattack.

We Recommend the Special Effect Upgrade!

Bartre is best made use of by giving him the special effect upgrade for his exclusive weapon Axe of Virility. It has the effects of Fury 3 built into it, so combining it with Fury 3 will give him +6 in all stats. The only drawback is that it will cost him 12 HP per attack, so combining it with a skill like Brazen Atk Def or Vantage, which will trigger with low HP, is optimal.

Bartre is a close ranged physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat. Additionally, his skills will deal heavy damage to armored foes and give him boosted stats.

Bartre's Strengths

Dishes out heavy damage to armored foes

Bartre's weapon skill Hammer+ deals a ton of damage to armored units. Being able to plow through high defense units could be said to be his strength.

High base HP stat

Bartre has a high HP and relatively high Def stat, meaning that he can withstand many physical attacks. Panic Ploy, Infantry Pulse, and Earth Boost can all help him make the most of this high HP.

Great synergy in his skill set

Bartre's default skills work together very well. His HP will drop by using Fury 3, which will allow the effects of Brash Assault to kick in, greatly enhancing his base stats.

Bartre's Weaknesses

Defenseless against magic attackers

Bartre's low Res stat means that he takes a ton of damage from mages and dragons. Make sure to keep him out of their line of fire.

Low Spd leads to a lot of follow-up attacks from the foe

Bartre's meadiocre Spd stat of 25 will increase to 28 with the effects of Fury. He will take many follow-up attacks from the foe, so use the buffs from Brash Assault to fight back.
