General Round weapons are Handguns, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, and Machine Guns. These weapons specialize in mob-clearing and constant DPS. They are fully automatic weapons that are great for applying attribute debuffs. General Rounds commonly drop from most enemies and weapons that use general rounds usually have a high ammo count.
The main problem of General Round weapons is their damage which severely falls off when you try to shoot enemies that are far away. Due to their fully-automatic nature, some weapons can also encounter recoil and accuracy problems.
