When Does Paper Mario Come Out on Switch?

Start Playing at 12:00 AM ET / 9:00 PM PT

You will be able to play the game at 12:00 AM ET / 9:00 PM PT on July 17, 2020. It may take some time to download the game, so make sure to pre-load before the July 17 release date!

What to do when you cannot play this software yet

There might be a 5-minute delay after midnight, before you can start playing the game and you may receive an the error message saying you cannot play this software yet. If this happens, simply wait a few minutes and you will be able to start enjoying the game!

How to Pre-Load

Step Instructions
1 Link your Nintendo Account to your Switch Profile (Select Top-Left Profile Icon → Link to Nintendo Account)
2 Purchase from Nintendo eShop
1. Open Nintendo eShop.
2. Find and select Paper Mario: The Origami King.
3. Proceed to purchase.
4. Your download will begin.
Redeem Download Code
1. Open Nintendo eShop.
2. Select "Enter Code."
3. Enter your 16-digit download code.
4. Your download will begin.
3 Connect to the internet when the game is released on July 17, 2020 (12:00 AM ET / 9:00 PM PT), and you can start playing the game!
