Some time passes and Toad Town finally celebrates the Origami Festival.
The mood is festive, with fireworks shooting at the sky, origami decorations and colored streamers lighting the city, and even Bowser, Bowser Jr., and their minions are having fun peacefully.
At the town's center, in the normal ending, the Origami Craftsman has displayed Olly's miniature Origami Castle from his workshop on Mushroom Island, but this time with empty thrones for Olly and Olivia.
Peach notices Mario thinking of Olivia and comforts him by commenting that Olivia was brave to save them, that she's with them in spirit, and that Peach wishes she could thank her. This confirms that Olivia is gone.
A Toad approches with lighted origami lanterns and everyone gathers at the town's center, each with a lighted origami lantern of their own.
All other lights are turned off and a message is shown: To all the origami... Thank you!
Everyone releases their origami lantern to the sky, to pay their respects for all the origami that restored their world.
This is the ending if you have not cleared all the areas and all the trophies available at the Museum.
This is the ending you get when clearing Paper Mario: The Origami King 100%, and it's added in the form of a bonus scene that plays after the credits.
In this secret ending scene, after everyone has left the town's center, the Origami Craftsman sneaks back to the miniature Origami Castle and places miniature origami versions of Olly and Olivia on the castle's thrones.
The camera focuses on Olly and Olivia's happy faces and the scene fades to black in this secret ending.
