Current Area | Temple of Shrooms |
Next Area | The Great Sea |
List of Contents
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | In the first room, go to the platform on the far side where there are two statues on the wall. Go to the southwest corner of the platform, where there is a square plot of sand. Have Professor Toad dig there to make a Magic Circle appear. Tear away the wall directly north to make a set of stairs appear. Have Professor Toad read the inscription, then climb up the east staircase and stand on the platform to open the door. |
2 | In the next room, fill in the confetti hole in the path to continue ahead. Ahead, you'll have to fight Paper Macho Goombas while holes appear in the floor. Press the switch on the north side of the room to make the holes disappear. Take out the Goombas to open the door. |
3 | In the next room, free the Toad by hammering the Scuttlebugs. Solve the puzzle to slide open the coffin. Hit the blocks in the order northwest -> southwest -> northeast -> southeast. (the number of triangles on the each switch matches the number order written on the coffin.) Go in the door to the east and open the chest to find Treasure No. 72. |
4 | Go in the west door and open the chest to find a CD. Go back into the center room and through the sarcophegus door, and continue heading along the path. When you reach a room lined with sarcophegi, run right to avoid being crushed, then grab the CD behind the last one that falls. Go back a bit and through the newly-appearing door. |
5 | In the next room, find a group of 10 stakes in the west-middle area of the floor which form a five-pointed star shape. Pound each of them down to make a staircase appear. Continue into the next room. |
6 | Enlarge Defeat the Shy Guys and continue on. In the next room, you'll need to find two more CDs to continue on. Continue down the staircase to the southwest and go to the coffin in the southeast corner to find another CD. Go to the southeast wall and hit the torch from the south side to turn the wall. |
7 | In the next room, go to the north end and hammer the north wall to the right side of the sarcophegus to make a Magic Circle appear. Use the 1,000-Fold Arms to pull the last CD away from the sarcophegus. Hit the switch on the left side of this room to open a door back to the room with the stakes. |
8 | Return to the DJ toad and have him play all four CDs. The fourth CD, Thrills at Night is the one that will work. Walk around with the boombox collecting 40 faceless toads. You can find the first 16 scattered around the rooms you've already been to. (Jump to Faceless Toad Locations) |
9 | Enlarge To get the last 24 Toads, go down to the room with coffins laid out in a grid on the floor. Push the second coffin from the left on the second row, with a crescent-moon shape on it. A stairway will be inside. You'll need to collect around 10 faceless Toads first before doing this step to have enough pushing power to open the coffin. |
10 | In the next room, go to the north platform and push open the coffin before fighting any of the Scuttlebugs. Get the Starman that comes out and use it to defeat all the Scuttlebugs. A Magic Circle will appear – use it to save all the Toads from the ceiling. Dig in the southeast patch of dirt here to find Treasure No. 73. |
11 | After you've collected all the faceless Toads, go back to the DJ Room to start a dance party. You'll start a battle with Hole Punch. How to Beat Hole Punch |
12 | After defeating Hole Punch, climb up the stairs and use the 1,000-Fold Arms to destroy the Yellow Streamer. Head up the staircase back to Scorching Sandpaper Minor. |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Go back to the main area of Scorching Sandpaper Desert and head to the Sun Altar. Go down the newly-appeared staircase. |
2 | Destroy the pots on the right to reveal a Fire Vellumental Magic Circle. Activate it to thaw the ice. |
3 | After the cutscene, head back up and take Pipe No. 3 to Toad Town. |
4 | Go to the port in Toad Town and talk to the blue Toad on the ship to set sail for The Great Sea. |
Clearing the Temple of Shrooms means you've cleared the Yellow Streamer part of the game. Congratulations!
