Fire Vellumental Cave 100% Walkthrough | Collectibles, Toads, and Hidden Block Locations

Fire Vellumental Cave

	Objectives
1	Enlarge As soon as you enter Fire Vellumental Cave, go through the door. In the next room, you will have to solve a puzzle where you must jump on the tiles in the correct order. Memorize the order in which the tiles flash, then jump on the tiles in the reverse order of the pattern they lighted up. You will take damage for failing, but the puzzle will get slightly easier each time you make a mistake.
2	Turn right in the next room and continue ahead. In this part of Fire Vellumental Cave, a group of Shy Guys will notice you, and come back armed with flame buckets. The best way to handle them is to stand near them, taunt them to drop their flame bucket, then smash them with the Hammer after they fall on the ground. After defeating them, continue through the east, then north door. If you hit them with the Hammer when they're still holding the bucket, they will rush at you and deal damage, then run away and come back with another flame bucket, so watch out for this.
3	The next room in Fire Vellumental Cave is filled with moving flame-breathing statues. Time jumps precisely to avoid each burst of fire, and use the bench in north-center of the room liberally to heal any damage. Make it to the door on the far right to escape.
4	You'll need to take out more Shy Guys with flame buckets. At the end, the last five will rush at you in a line and drop their buckets in sync, then run around consumed by flames until they burn up on their own, so simply try to stay out of their way. If you try to use a Mushroom, it will be consumed by flames, so be careful with your HP!
5	Proceed to the north end of the room avoiding fireballs from Fire Bros. Run to the right along the brick path, and Fire Vellumental statues will start to down behind you. Jump over holes and smash blocks when they appear, while continuing forward to avoid being crushed by a bird statue. Climb up the left Fire Bro platform by winding around and up the back. In the chest, you'll find Treasure No. 71.
6	In the next room, you'll go head to head with the Fire Vellumental.How to Beat the Fire Vellumental
7	After finishing the Fire Vellumental battle, you'll receive the Fire Bibliofold. Head up the staircase to return to the entrance. Go back outside.

Scorching Sandpaper Desert

	Objectives
1	Now that Olivia has the Fire Vellumental powers, you will need to find four jewels to cause each of the four towers to align. You can find clues for the locations of each jewel in each of the towers around the desert.Where to Find the Jewels
2	(Not required) You'll find the first tower on the northwest end of the main area of Scorching Sandpaper Desert. Climb the tower and read the inscription with Professor Toad to hear it: "To find my eye would be a feat... unless you look around my feet." This is a clue to the location of the first jewel.
3	Go outside the tower. Press down on the D-pad in front of the tower's left foot to have Professor Toad dig there. He will find the Diamond Jewel.
4	Continue to Scorching Sandpaper West to find the next tower. If you've already found all the jewels, go ahead and skip to our Temple of Shrooms walkthrough.

Fire Vellumental

The Fire Vellumental looks and behaves like a phoenix: if you attack it with the 1,000-Fold Arms without completely depleting its HP, it will completely regain all its health.

In addition, it requires Iron Boots to jump on, and Hammers deal minimal damage. You'll want to jump on it repeatedly with Iron Boots to gradually deplete its HP, and retrieve Water Vellumental action panels from treasure chests to extinguish the flames it throws around the stage.
