1 | Head up the staircase avoiding the enemies. At the top, a cutscene will begin. If you do fight enemies, you will receive a 1,000 Coin present each time from one of Bowser's minions, so this can be a good place to farm coins. |
2 | Go down to the first floor and in the door on the right. In the room, head down the hallway and into the door in the southeast.. Grab the Legendary Iron Boots in the ? Block on the northwest end of the room, and the Legendary Hammer in the ? Block on the northeast end of the room. |
3 | Go to the third door and hammer the door-shaped indention on the wall several times to make Olly's picture fall down. Use the Magic Circle that appears to peel away the wallpaper from the upper-right corner. Go through the door. Go into the second door to find a chest with Collectible Treasure No. 109. In the fifth room, go behind the chest to find Collectible Treasure No. 110. |
4 | In the room, get Bowser's Castle Key from Luigi. Go back out and after the cutscene, continue back into the center room while fighting Cutout Soldiers. When you head up the stairs, you'll start a Wave Battle with Li'l Cutout Soldiers. |
5 | Use Bowser's Castle Key on the door at the top of the staircase. Continue to the end of the hall. You'll start a boss battle with Handaconda. How to Beat Handaconda |
6 | After the battle, go through the door and head toward the Green Streamer. You will enter a battle with a Paper Mistake Buzzy Beetle, souped up with Kamek's powers. How to Beat Buzzy Beetle |

Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | After the fight, use the Magic Circle, and destroy the Green Streamer with the 1,000-Fold Arms. After the cutscene, grab Kamek to pull Bowser loose. |
2 | Go back to the first floor and through the door on the west side. |
3 | Enlarge In the next room, hit the switch in the southwest corner to make a laser come out. Hit each of the Buzzy Beetle pillars to make the laser align with one of the metal circles on their sides; the laser will go through the circle and out the mouth. Arrange the pillars so that the laser flows through all the pillars into the Bowser image to the right of the north door. After solving the puzzle, the north door will open. |
4 | Through the door, go left and after a cutscene, hop on the airship. Go right here to find a chest with Collectible Treasure No. 111. |
5 | You'll play a mini-game in which you shoot down paper planes. Go with motion controls, as it will allow you to move the cursor more quickly. Shoot all paper planes that come toward you before they hit you to avoid getting damaged. |
6 | You'll fight a boss paper plane with the same controls. Light it up with Bob-ombs, then take out each of the smaller paper planes as soon as it releases them. Finally, when the boss is about to explode and starts moving towards you, shoot it as fast as possible to destroy it before impact. |
7 | After defeating the boss, a cutscene will begin. You'll resume play in Hotfoot Crater. |
After finishing this section of the game, you'll have destroyed all five of the Streamers surrounding Peach's Castle. Now it's on to the final part of the game to rescue Princess Peach!
When you first enter Bowser's Castle, you'll be surrounded by Bowser's minions caught in battles with Folder Soldiers. For each of the Folded Soldiers you battle, you'll receive 1,000 Coins from the minion you rescued as a reward. This is a fairly substantial reward for a short fight, and if you fight all the Folded Soldiers scattered around the floor here, you can gather over 20,000 Coins.
Keep in mind that if you skip the fight by sneaking up on the foe with your jump or hammer, you won't get the 1,000-coin reward, so simply running headfirst into battle is the best way.
In the northwest and northeast ends of the first room, ? Blocks will hold a Legendary Iron Boots and Legendary Hammer, respectively. You'll be fighting multiple bosses in a row at the end of this area, so you'll want to have the best equipment to be ready!
Handaconda can avoid a variety of attacks, but he's not too tough when you know how to handle him. Place an action panel in the second row from the center and wail on him with the hammer!
How to Beat Handaconda
One of the game's more difficult real-time battles. Spend some time getting used to its patterns in each phase, then strike!
How to Beat Buzzy Beetle
Don't break the cover! And if you do, hope you are good at timing jumps!
There are no Toads to be found here. Check out our full list of Toad locations to find the ones you're missing!
