Paper Mario: The Origami King will be released globally on the Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2020. At this moment you can check out the story, gameplay, and pre-purchase the game globally or check which stores you can pre-order in the USA or Canada on their Official Site.
When pre-purchasing the game from Nintendo.com you can pre-load the game. You will not be able to play it right now, but if you pre-load it, you can play the game as soon as it reaches its release date, July 17.
The physical copy will be sold by participating stores, available for $59.99 USD / $79.99 CAD (not including tax). At the present, many stores may not be operating, so you can instead order it from their website. The following list displays verified carriers in the US.
You can also purchase a digital copy of Paper Mario: The Origami King from the Nintendo eShop via Credit/Debit card, or by redeeming a Nintendo eShop Gift Card and download the game from there.
Like other Switch games, Paper Mario will become available to play from 12:00 AM ET / 9:00 PM PT after downloading a quick update. If you have already pre-loaded, you will be ready to play just a couple minutes after the denoted time!
