This is a walkthrough for beating Buzzy Beetle, one of the bosses in Paper Mario: The Origami King for the Nintendo Switch. This guide will cover boss strategy, the best weapons to use, as well as other tips and tricks for beating Buzzy Beetle.
List of Contents
Buzzy Beetle is another pseudo boss battle that takes place in real time, fought before going up against Scissors. In the beginning, Buzzy Beetle will shoot Dry Bones skulls at you, which you can break with your hammer. If you are too close, Buzzy Beetle will immediately reabsorb their paper, so instead, put a bit of space between yourself and Buzzy Beetle so that each Dry Bones you break will stay down.
After breaking a few of them, the enemy reveals itself to actually be Kamek, who is stuck to the front. Buzzy will start charging a powerful spell, so get to one side of the room, and prepare to dodge when it is fired. It will be dizzy afterward, giving you a chance to run in and hold A to peel try and Kamek.
Afterward, Buzzy will fire three spells in succession, before going dizzy again. Once again, run in and try to peel Kamek. It will then fire a few more times before going dizzy, which should allow you to run in and completely peel off Kamek's face.
After this, Buzzy Beetle begins spinning around and bouncing off of the walls, before flipping over and exposing its weak spot. Hide in the corner and wait for this, then once it flips, strik its belly with your hammer. Do this two more times, and the fight will end.
