| 1 | Steer the boat down the Eddy River in a Minigame. Try to avoid obstacles, as you'll fail if you lose all 5 of your hearts. Collect all the coins here to earn one of the game's 15 Trophies! |

If you see coins floating at a height that would normally require jumping, that's exactly what you need to do. Since Mario isn't the one steering the boat, he's free to jump and throw Confetti.
If the boat is going a bit too fast and you're about to miss a coin, losing 1 life by hitting a rock, log or whirlpool is sometimes worth the risk, as you will be stopped and allowed some times to angle the boat before continuing.
There are almost as many hearts scattered through the river as there are obstacles, so make sure to grab them to heal if your life is getting low. Most of the steep, narrow areas that connect the different sections have hearts in them and can be considered a sort of checkpoint, assuming you manage to grab the hearts.
Thanks to an unfortunate member of our walkthrough team, we can testify that this mini game gets a difficulty boost if your controller has the left drift or any other issues, so arm yourself with patience (or a new controller) if you are going for the trophy.
No Toads are hiding in the Eddy River area, which is probably for the best.
There's no treasures to find while going down Eddy River.
There are no ? Blocks on the way down the Eddy River Rapids.
