Historian - Evolution unlocks right after reaching The Caravel during the Humanity main quest.

Historian - Evolution Quest Walkthrough

The Caravel

	Objectives
1	Head to the Disposal Sector. Fast travel to the Incineration Chambers and jump over the wall to proceed to the quest area.
2	Clear the Nest → Pick up the Artifact. Eliminate the enemies in the area. Pick up the Artifact next to the body.
3	Return with the Artifact to Madame Beauvior. Head back to Rift Town and talk to Madame Beauvior to collect your reward.

Tips and Strategies

Hide Behind a Structure

Whenever the Crawler is about to use Frontal Sweep or Obliterating Beam, you can hide behind one of the pillars to block its attack.

Wait for the meter to fully deplete as the beam can still hit you even when moving away from the structure.

Fall Back to the Entrance

The Brood Mother is deadly when in close range as it attacks with a slash that hits twice. Fall back to the entrance to fight it at long-range.
