How to Unlock Hunter - Sandshifter

Hunter - Sandshifter unlocks right after reaching the Canyon of the Obelisk during the Sacrifice main quest.

Hunter - Sandshifter Quest Walkthrough

Desolate Fort

	Objectives
1	Head to The Buried Road. Fast travel to the Desolate Fort and head north to The Buried Road. You will need to defeat the enemies to reach the bones. Inspect the bones to start the side quest.
2	Clear the Area. → Clear the Rocks. Head west from the bones to find the crevice leading to the next area. Eliminate all the enemies in the area.
3	Kill Sandshifter. Sandshifter appears after defeating the enemies. Hide behind the pillar next to the ammo refill to avoid Frontal Sweep and Obliterating Beam.
4	Bring the trophy to Noah in Trench Town. Fast travel to Trench Town and talk to Noah at the Saloon to complete the side quest and to claim your reward.

Tips and Strategies

Inflict Burn Damage to Sciathans

Sciathans are immune to certain skills like the Devastator's Gravity Leap while flying.

To force them to the ground, use a weapon that inflicts Burn damage. This leaves them vulnerable to attacks and skills in this state.

Hide Behind a Structure to Avoid Frontal Sweep

Whenever Sandshifter is about to use Frontal Sweep or Obliterating Beam, you can hide behind the rock pillar to block its attack.

Wait for the meter to fully deplete as the beam can still hit you even when moving away from the structure.
