Description
When you asked Zahedi for an explanation for the Altered's powers, he pointed you to the Alchemist, known for conducting inhumane experiments in his research of the Altered. Anything you can learn about your powers, about what you are, must be worth investigating. The Alchemist's laboratory is rumored to be nestled somewhere in Eagle Peaks.

How to Unlock The Scientific Method

After reaching the Antenna Cable Car Station during the Frequency quest, talk to Zahedi at the camp to start the side quest.

Objectives
1 Outriders - The Scientific Method Fast Travel to Snowy Plateau
Side Quest Icon.pngFind the Alchemist's laboratory.
Fast travel to Snowy Plateau and head to the bunker with the red door to proceed to the next area.
2 Outriders - The Scientific Method Clear the Lab
Side Quest Icon.pngClear the Lab → Retrieve the Key.
Head down the stairs at the partially flooded area. Get ready as enemies will attack. Pick up the key from the last slain enemy and retrieve the journal.
3 Outriders - The Scientific Method Clear the Lab Second Door
Side Quest Icon.pngOpen the Door → Clear the Lab.
Open the door to proceed to the next area. Enemies will attack as soon as you reach the second door.
4 Outriders - The Scientific Method Journal Entry Second Door
Side Quest Icon.pngTake the Journal Entry → Open the Door.
Pick up the journal entry and open the door nearby.
5 Outriders - The Scientific Method Journal Entry Hallway
Side Quest Icon.pngTake the Journal Entry → Open the Door.
Pick up the journal entry and open the door at the end of the hallway.
6 Outriders - The Scientific Method Clear the Area
Side Quest Icon.pngClear the Area → Retrieve the Journal.
Enemies will swarm the area as soon as you reach the objective marker. Eliminate them and retrieve the journal.
7 Outriders - The Scientific Method Investigate the body
Side Quest Icon.pngInspect the charred corpse.
Investigate the body south of the journal.
8 Outriders - The Scientific Method Return to Zahedi
Side Quest Icon.pngReturn to Zahedi.
Head back to the camp and talk to Zahedi to complete the quest and to collect your reward.
