The Outriders' Legacy Basic Information

How to Unlock The Outriders' Legacy

Complete the Detour main quest and reach Trench Town. Investigate the hanged man next to your camp to start the side quest.

You'll have to progress through the Mentor Main Quest first to unlock the Wreckage Zone, which is your first destination in this long Side Quest.

The Outriders' Legacy Quest Walkthrough

Wreckage Zone

	Objectives
1	Find Lucy and ask about the Outriders' hatch. Follow the marker and talk to Lucy.
2	Search for Monique in the Wreckage Zone. Fast travel to the Wreckage Zone and head inside the cave to find a red door to enter Clearwater Springs. Note: The marker may lead you to the wrong area at this point. Look for the red door with the words, "Enter Clearwater Springs" to go to the correct area.
3	Clear the Caverns. → Clear the Rocks. Enemies will attack as soon as you enter the area and beneath the caverns. Eliminate them and clear the rocks.
4	Plant the flag. → Search for Monique in the Wreckage Zone. Plant the flag to enable fast travel to this point and head west to proceed to the next area. Head up the steps and open the door. Watch the cutscene that follows.
5	Return to Lucy to collect the key to the Outriders' hatch. Head back to Trench Town and talk to Lucy to receive the key.

Quarry

6	Search the Quarry for the Outriders' hatch. Fast travel to the Quarry and head up the cliff south of your camp and clear the logs to proceed to the Nesting Grounds.
7	Clear the area. Head towards the hideout and eliminate all the enemies.
8	Open the hatch. Exit the hideout and follow the marker to find a hatch on the ground. Open it to proceed to the next area.
9	Open the door. Open the red door inside the Outriders' bunker.
10	Pick up the clues. Inside the room, pick up the clues on the floor.
11	Fast travel to Forest Enclave. Fast travel back to the camp and head to the Forest Enclave.

Forest Enclave

12	Search for Sergio or Mercer Acosta in the Forest. Head inside the Enclave Camp and talk to Mercer Acosta.
13	Locate the remains of Sergio Acosta's expedition. Enter the Enclave Outskirts to proceed to the next area.
14	Plant the flag. After clearing the path, plant the flag to enable fast travel to this point. Head west to proceed to the next area.
15	Push through the Jungle. → Clear the Path. Be ready as a swarm of enemies will appear as soon as you cross the river. Eliminate all the enemies and clear the path.
16	Clear the Camp. → Clear the Rocks. More enemies will appear as you make your way through the jungle. The enemies in this area can easily mob you in close quarters, so it is recommended to stay in an area with a wide space and wait for them to come to you.
17	Clear the Camp. → Find Acosta's body. Another wave of enemies will appear at the camp. Take out the Strix first and move around. After eliminating them, investigate the body at the camp.
18	Return the photograph to Mercer. Fast travel back to the Enclave Camp and talk to Mercer.

Quarry

19	Return to the Outriders' bunker. Fast travel to the Quarry and head back to the bunker. You'll have to face some enemies again on the way to the bunker.
20	Search the Outriders bunker for clues. Open the second door and head down the bunker. Pick up the clues on the floor.

The Gate

21	Search for Sarah Tanner in the Forest. → Take out Kang's Soldiers. Fast travel to The Gate and follow the marker. Enemies will appear on your way to the next area. Eliminate them and clear the path.
22	Take out Kang's Soldiers. → Investigate the body. Refill your ammo and prepare for a second fight. After eliminating the enemies, look for a tent and investigate the body beside it to retrieve the master key.

Quarry

23	Return to the Outriders' bunker. Fast travel to the Quarry and head back to the bunker. You'll have to face some enemies again on the way to the bunker.
24	Use the master key to reveal the secret in the Outriders' bunker. Open the third door east of the entrance.
25	Investigate the area. Head straight to the room and watch the cutscene.
26	Repel the attack and disarm the nuke. Eliminate all the insurgents in the area. Move in a wide space as the enemies can surround you while inside the control room. Watch the cutscene that follows to complete the quest and claim your rewards.

Tips and Strategies

Complete the Main Quests First

Unlike the other side quests, The Outriders' Legacy has you travel to multiple areas that are locked until you reach them during the main quest.

If you find that you cannot progress this side quest further, continue playing the main quest first to unlock the areas.

All Main Quest Walkthroughs

Search for the Red Door in the Wreakage Zone

While searching for Monique at the Wreakage Zone, ignore the marker as it may lead you to the wrong area.

Instead, look for the red door with the words ''Enter Clearwater Springs'' inside the cave to proceed to the correct area.

Conserve Ammo on Acosta's Expedition

Once you have reached Acosta's Expedition, be sure to conserve your ammo as the area does not have any ammo refills.

You can switch to your secondary weapon to eliminate the smaller enemies and only use your primary weapons when facing the Venomous Perforo, Alpha Perforo, and Strix.

Alternatively, you can let the enemies kill you. This takes you back from the last checkpoint and refills all your ammo.

Shoot the Red Urns

While facing Kang's soldiers at The Gate, you'll find some red urns scattered across the ruins. Shoot at it while an enemy is nearby for a quick and easy kill.

Lure Out Kang's Huntsman

During the second fight with Kang's soldiers, you can lure out Kang's Huntsman out of the battlefield to finish him off. The other enemies, such as the Trapper and Demolisher, will not pursue you and will remain in their positions.

You can also use this tactic later on to lure out the Vanguard Captain to another room inside the bunker.

The Outriders' Legacy Chest Locations

	Map Location	Directions
1		The container can be found east of the rocks that needed to be cleared in Clearwater Springs.
2		From the Crevice fast travel point, head east and run all the way to find a container at the end of the tunnel.
3		The container can be found east of the ammo refill inside the Outriders' bunker.
4		Inside the room with the red door is the container right next to the Outrider's banner.
5		Once you have eliminated the enemies on the Enclave Outskirts, head east from the blocked path to find a container at a dead end.
6		On the ruins where you first eliminated Kang's soldiers at The Gate, you can find the container right next to the ammo refill.
