How to Beat Mosscloak Behemoth | Boss Fight Strategy Guide

Mosscloak Behemoth Information

Basic Information

A sub-species of the Behemoth that has adapted to the environmental conditions of the Forest, the Mosscloak Behemoth has developed a resistance to the poisonous mushrooms it consumes. That very poison gets stuck in its multiplying fangs and large paws, and can likely spread the poison with its attacks.

Tips and Strategies

General Tip

The hardest part about this Boss battle is not the fact that you have to face two Behemoths at once.

It's the ridiculous amounts of enemies that will spawn while you try to kill the Boss. This enemies include Perforos, Venomous Perforos, Alpha Perforos, and Sylvan Maulers.

Recommended Mods

Mod	Tier	Description
Shield Maiden	I	Shots generate Shield.
Shield Zap	II	When your Shield is active, it spawns an electric shock around you dealing damage to up to 2 enemies within a 5 meter radius. Cooldown of 5 seconds.
Seismic Impulse	II	A seismic impulse is generated every x seconds dealing x damage within a x meter radius around you.
Plate Dodge	II	Rolling increases your Armor for 5 seconds.
Damage Link	II	Shots link up to 4 enemies, sharing a percentage of Weapon Damage and Anomaly Damage dealt.

These Mods were selected to optimize survival as you cannot face enemies all at once within a limited area.

Find a Center

Similar to the boss fight with Behemoth in Expedition, you have to make use of your surroundings. There is a small obelisk in the center. Use it as shielding from the Mosscloak Behemoth.

Pick and Roll

Your basic strategy will be a pick-and-roll play. Use the center pillar as shielding and run around it. Kill off smaller enemies as you go.

Shield Maiden will grant you shield for every bullet that hits an enemy, while Shield Zap and Seismic Impulse will do passive damage even as you pass enemies by.

Take out Ranged Enemies

Enemies like Venemous Perforos and Sylvan Maulers should be the top priority of your kill-list. They tend not to follow you closely but will shoot at you if you come in range.
