What is Status Resistance?

Status Resistance or Effect Resistance is the ability of an enemy to enter a state that grants them resistance and be immunity against status effects granted by Skills and Mods.

Most Elites and Bosses will have the Status Resistance symbol attached to their health bar.

Status Resistance Cause

When the Status Resistance icon turns blue, Effect Resistance is activated. This happens when you spam an enemy with several crowd-control effects or interrupts within a short period of time.

This resistance is accompanied by a cooldown timer. When the radial timer winds down to zero, the enemy will be susceptible to crowd control and interrupts again.

What is Resistance Piercing?

Resistance Piercing is the percentage of enemy Effect Resistance that is ignored when dealing ability damage. This means that even though Effect Resistance is activated, you can still deal significant amounts of damage with your Resistance Pierce.

Modifying Resistance Piercing

There are specific Mods that grant bonuses to enhance your Resistance Piercing. Modifying your Resistance Piercing can turn the tide especially when faced with multiple Elites.

Mod	Tier	Description
Resistance Breaker	II	Shots break down your target's Resistance by 35% for 6 seconds.
No Resistance Against the Fortified	II	Increases your Resistance Piercing by 50% of your Armor Piercing value.
