No. Outriders does not have a manual save system. At the start of the loading sequence, the game will let you know that it has an auto-save function.
Whenever you are in-game, Outriders will automatically save your game as you approach a new area where your objectives will change from general directions to offensive orders.
If you want to farm for EXP points or items, you can always replay a specific Story Point by accessing the Lobby.
Setting a new Story Point will give you this prompt.
When Outriders tells you that setting a new Story Point will overwrite your saved data, it does not mean that you will have to finish the Story Point to access your latest Story Point. It just means that the new Story Point will be the Story Point selected when you reboot the game.
