To take a 1 Star photo of Starly, you need to start the course on the Research Lab side. Upon reaching the water trough, focus the camera on Starly. Take a close-up shot to achieve 1 Star Diamond.

After passing through Sudowoodo near the campfire, look for the Starlies in the grass near the cabins. Give one Starly a Fluffruit and wait for it to eat it. After eating, take a close-up shot of a happy Starly to achieve 2 Star Diamond.

Taking a 3 Star photo of Starly is similar to 1 Star. All you need to do is to take a photo of Starly while it is drinking water from the water trough. Make sure not to play a Melody or do a scan, it can scare Starly and fly away.

Taking a 4 Star photo of Starly is similar to 2 Star. All you need to do is to feed Starly with a Fluffruit twice. After eating the Fluffruit, Starly will pose with one wing and will smile at you. Take a close-up shot to achieve 4 Star Diamond.
