To take a 1 Star photo of Sudowoodo, start the course on the entrance side of the Research Camp. Near the campfire, you'll find Sudowoodo roaming around the area. Take a nice shot of a walking Sudowoodo to achieve 1 Star Diamond. Make sure its face is visible in the frame!

After passing through Sudowoodo near the campfire, you'll encounter it again next to a water trough. Hit Sudowoodo with a Fluffruit and take a close-up shot to achieve 2 Star Diamond.

Taking a 3 Star photo of Sudowoodo is similar to 2 Star. All you need to do is to take a photo of Sudowoodo running away. To do this, hit the water in the tree log using a Fluffruit. This will make Sudowoodo run away. The trick here is to hit the water after passing through Sudowood and not before. This will give you a perfect angle to take a close-up shot.

Near the campfire, you'll find Sudowoodo walking around the area. Wait till Sudowoodo gets near to the Crystabloom. Once near, light up the Crytabloom.
Lighting up the Crystabloom will trigger Sudowoodo to march and go to the center of the field. Wait for an angle where Sudowoodo's face is visible in the frame and play the Melody to make it dance. Once it starts dancing, take a close-up shot of Sudowoodo to achieve 4 Star Diamond.
