How to Clear Guardian of Friends Request Walkthrough
This is a guide to completing Guardian of Friends, a request in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch. Here you can find what kind of photo you need, and how to take it, in order to clear Guardian of Friends, as well as the reward!

How to Clear Guardian of Friends
Take the Alternate Route
Take the alternate route of Badlands (Night) by tossing Illumina Orbs at the digging Diglett near the start of the course and taking their photos. Once at least 3 Diglett are near the boulder, light up the Crystabloom.
Wake Up Rockruff
As you go through the alternate route, you will see a Rockruff sleeping beside Tepig, Torchic, and Shinx. Immediately wake up Rockruff once you see it by tossing a Fluffruit at it.
Toss an Illumina Orb at Rockruff
Once it is awake, a Mandibuzz will fly in and try to scare the four Pokemon. Toss an Illumina Orb at Rockruff to get it to roar at the Mandibuzz and defend its friends. Take a photo of the roaring Rockruff to fulfill the request.
Both Rockruff and Mandbuzz need to be in the frame to complete the request, but the focus of the shot must be on Rockruff. None of the other three Pokemon need to be in the photograph.

1. Throw illumina orbs and take pictures of all the diglett around the starting area 2. Throw an illumina orb at the crystabloom by the big rock and all the diglett will push it over, allowing you to take an alternate route 3. Take said alternate route by scanning the prompt 4. Throw a fluffruit at rockruff from really far away (make sure all 4 of the friends are awake before mandibuzz gets close) 5. I’m not sure if this is required but throw an illumina orb at rockruff just to be safe
