Eirene, a powerful woman who can see the potential within others, dedicates her life to training young people. She believes a person's true worth lies in their journey, not just the destination. Over the years, she has taught countless individuals, celebrating their successes and mourning their losses. One day, she is approached by a noble family to assess their daughter.

When Eirene encounters the girl, she is astonished to discover an unprecedented power – a combination of angelic and demonic forces. This unique power makes the girl both a potential savior and a potential destroyer of the world. Recognizing the immense challenges for the girl, whom Eirene names Illya, she is determined to help her reach her destiny, whatever it may be. Eirene knows that Illya's journey will be fraught with peril, but she also believes that Illya has the strength and resilience to overcome any obstacle.

Eirene, after a year of training Illya, recognizes that the girl has mastered her unique powers and is now prepared to face the world. Eirene emphasizes the importance of independent choice and encourages Illya to pursue her own path. However, years later, Eirene witnesses the tragic consequences of her training as many of her pupils die in battle. This deeply affects her, leading her to question her role and contemplate the possibility of intervening in their destinies to prevent such losses, even if it means defying the natural order.

Chapter 1
"Thank you for everything, Ma'am." Today, another one of my pupils is graduating from my instruction. "I want the strength to protect those I love." Those were the words she imparted to me, so I taught her every combat technique I know. In turn, she overcame every grueling trial I threw at her. Seeing just how capable she had become, I couldn't hold back the barrage of tears threatening to spill out. "You've really, truly worked hard. The power you've gained is just proof of your unfaltering efforts all this time. Now, go! No matter what anyone may say, you'll always be my prided pupil!" Some time later, I heard that my pupil's army emerged victorious in battle. But, only her beloved blade made it home from the battlefield.

Chapter 1

"Thank you for everything, Ma'am."

Today, another one of my pupils
is graduating from my instruction.
"I want the strength
to protect those I love."
Those were the words
she imparted to me,
so I taught her every
combat technique I know.
In turn, she overcame
every grueling trial I threw at her.

Seeing just how capable she had become,

I heard that my pupil's army
emerged victorious in battle.
But, only her beloved blade
made it home from the battlefield.

Chapter 2
I have the ability to see the power hidden in others. Someone said it was the power to see others' souls... But, I don't know much about it myself. All that matters is that the heavens bestowed me with this sacred acuity, which allows me to aid those who are trying their hardest in life. Someone trying their hardest is the most beautiful sight in the world. That's because, a person's purpose in life isn't a destination to arrive to, it's defined by the path they walk. So, over the years, I've used this power of mine to send off countless pupils. After that, a year passed, and I had nothing left to teach Illya. The power hidden within her has also remained stable. Right now, she's the perfect image of a "child of God." The number of ways people react to such great power are as limited as the flip of a coin. The fact that her parents didn't forget their love for their daughter is yet another miracle.
