Cave of Space-Time is the first trial unlocked through the Main Quest. Learn more about how to clear the Cave of Space-Time Trial and Recommended Characters to use.
List of Contents
The Cave of Space-Time has 3 Levels. Beating each Level's boss will let you go to the next Level. Your progress will reset every 48 hours, and the map will be changed. All damage will carry over from battle to battle, so healing is crucial.
Players should concentrate on a single color or a 3-2 color combination team to maximize the benefits of the color-specific blessings. Have one or two DPS carry
units in addition, and devote the remaining units to support. The primary distinction between this trial and others is the increased importance of healing.
You will receive many blessings after defeating an enemy, each with a unique effect. Every time you overpower an opponent, you can earn a blessing. Blessings are special items that can only be used inside the Cave of Space-Time. They have no influence outside of the Cave of Space-Time. The blessings you received can be shown in the Blessings List screen.
Using All-type Blessings ensures any team combination you create takes advantage of the blessing regardless of whether it is a full-single type or a 3-2 type combination.
In the early levels of the Cave, you should focus on mitigation and healing blessings. You will not automatically heal between fights, so these blessings are crucial for surviving early in the game until you can build enough to dominate. Once your team is relatively stable, focus on attack power for your DPS carry characters. Ideally, you'll want to have enough damage blessings to eliminate most opponents during the first round. This significantly reduces the damage you take in retaliation, and allows for an easy win after round 2. The damage you took from the fight should be healed back by your Angel blessings.
Below are our recommendations for blessings to pick, as well as explanations as to why they're good.
Blessing | Explanation |
---|---|
Angel's Harp | Heals back a percentage of your witches' max HP at the start of the battle. A must-have blessing that keeps your team healthy. |
Angel's Healing Rays | Heals your characters at the end of a battle. Another great blessing to keep your team healthy enough for the next battle. |
Phoenix's Flame | Prevents a character from dying and grants them invulnerability for 1 turn. Dead characters are pretty hard to bring back, while those who are still alive can heal with the Angel blessings or the Tree of Healing. |
Goddess' Embrace | Grants regeneration to a character below 30% of their max HP. Once again, this will help sustain your team and keep them healthy. |
Warrior God's Sword and Favor | Enhances your team's crit, which helps finish fights faster. |
Warrior's/Sniper's/Sorcerer's Soul | Increases the ATK of a specific character type. Picking up the one that affects your carry is often a fine choice. |
Judgement Rain | Deals a good chunk of damage at the start of every round while having a 30% chance to inflict Fainted on all targets, which hinders opponents from doing anything for a turn. |
Judgement Strike | Automatically eliminates opponents whose health pools go down to 10% or lower. |
Militant God's Baton | Increases the ATK and DEF of your entire team for the entire 3rd level, but only on Hard Mode. |
ACC Blessing | Improves your entire team's accuracy, which increases the likelihood that no turns are wasted on missed attacks. |
EVD Blessing | Improves your entire team's EVD, which increases the chances of them avoiding damage from an attack entirely. |
Spirit King's Coffin | Doubles the damage a random enemy unit receives. The effect is transferred randomly whenever the target afflicted with the debuff dies. This drastically improves your burst damage. |
Heaven's Shackles | Inflicts Resonance on the characters with the lowest and highest max HP, which makes them share 50% of the damage the other receives. This skill helps wipe out the enemy's tankiest unit quickly, as well as their glass cannon or fragile support. |
Battle God's War Cry | Provides you with excellent value if you get it sometime in the 1st or 2nd round, but isn't good when you get it late. |
Avoid using blessings that only trigger past the 2nd round of combat. Most encounters typically last just one or two rounds, so blessings that trigger past this will rarely be of use to you.
Assists allow you to select a character to add to your roster. That character can only be used inside the Cave of Space-Time trial and will disappear once it refreshes. If you don't have a strong team to field yet, this can help you improve your party. However, if you already have a decent team, using assists would just make you miss out on encounters that offer better value for you, like a big bunch of coins from Treasure Ship of Dark Illusions or blessings from battles.
There are different types of encounters in the Cave of Space-Time. Knowing which encounter you're getting yourself into will not only improve your chances of finishing the trial, but also maximize your profits as well.
Encounters that face you off with just one strong enemy, these fights grant large amounts of either Guild Coins, Battle Coins, or Space-Time Coins. These rewards are the best out of any of the other encounters, so try not to pass up on them. Note that you can only challenge this once, so make sure the enemy you're facing isn't too far out of your league.
The most common encounter in the Cave of Space-Time, battles are matches that lets you choose one out of three blessings to have on your trial. Unless there's a Magical Treasure Ship encounter or you absolutely need to use the Revive or Tree of Healing encounters, opt for this encounter to strengthen your team with Blessings.
The Enhance Blessing type of encounter will enhance one to three of your blessings randomly while the Challenge of Protection encounter will let you choose one blessing to enhance after winning a battle. Both options are good, especially if you're looking to enhance powerful blessings that you already have.
This encounter heals a maximum of 50% of your units' max HP. Pick the Tree of Healing encounter if your team is running low on health.
This encounter revives 1 dead character at random, allowing you to field them back and let them heal. If none of your characters are dead and you choose this encounter, the character with the lowest health will be healed. Pick this encounter situationally when you need it.
Allows you to pick a witch to add to your current pool of characters. This option isn't really recommended unless you're a new player or you're in a pickle where one of your characters are dead and need a strong replacement.
Florence and Cordie are the best two characters in the game now. While Cordie is more accessible to build since she can be bought from the shop, Florence can be selected using the Witch's Invitation or Invocation of Chance.
With these two DPS, you can use support types like Merlyn, Olivia, and Soltina to assist the DPS characters with their skills.
Ticket of Guidance | Cordie |
Clear the Cave of Space-Time Trial to get Space-Time Coins. We recommend using the Space-Time coins to obtain copies of the characters you need. Powerful and useful characters like Cordie, Merlyn, and Amleth are available here for 120,000 Space-Time Coins, which you can gain fairly quickly depending on how consistent you are with clearing the Cave of Space-Time.
Aside from character shards, you can also get 10 Ticket of Guidance which can be bought for 180,000 Space-Time Coins. This ticket is used to pull limited characters and gear upgrade items from the Invocation of Star's Guidance Banner.
