The Cave of Space-Time hosts a series of battles that give you Space-Time Coins. Read on to learn what the Cave of Space-Time is, tips on clearing the Cave of Space-Time, what to do with Space-Time Coins, and how to unlock the Cave of Space-Time.

Cave of Space-Time Guide

Play the Cave of Space-Time to Get Space-Time Coins

Cave of Space-Time.png

The Cave of Space-Time is one of MementoMori's PvE player trials, unlocked after clearing Quest 2-4 in the Main Quest. It has a series of battles and other events divided by three levels of increasing difficulty, which you will have to clear with a team that carries the damage it has sustained from battle to battle.

Clearing an entire run of the Cave of Space-Time wins you Space-Time Coins, which are used to buy characters, gacha tickets, and witch shards from the Space-Time Shop. If you need powerful characters, especially if you are a new player, the Cave of Space-Time is a good way of getting the witches you need.

The Cave of Space-Time resets every 48 hours, changing event placements and the enemies your party will encounter.

If You Miss Out on Playing Cave, You Can Get the Catch-Up Bonus

If you did not play Cave of Space-Time even once during the 48 hours it is active, you will get the Catch-Up Bonus when you play the next iteration. This boosts all the rewards you get in Cave of Space-Time encounters such as Gold, EXP Orbs/Kindling Orbs, Diamonds, and Space-Time Coins by up to 240%.

Cave of Space-Time Tips

Focus on Blessings That Keep Your Team Alive in the Early Stages

Single-Color team

When starting a Cave of Space-Time run, your team becomes powerful based on the Blessings you get after each battle. These blessings have various skill effects such as making your characters hit harder, having more HP or DEF, or even keeping your enemies stunned for a turn. Generally, the more blessings you have, the more of an advantage your units will have in battle.

Blessing Explanation
Angel Angel's Harp Heals back a percentage of your witches' max HP at the start of the battle. A must-have blessing that keeps your team healthy.
Angel Angel's Healing Rays Heals your characters at the end of a battle. Another great blessing to keep your team healthy enough for the next battle.
Phoenix Phoenix's Flame Prevents a character from dying and grants them invulnerability for 1 turn. Dead characters are pretty hard to bring back, while those who are still alive can heal with the Angel blessings or the Tree of Healing.
Goddess Goddess' Embrace Grants regeneration to a character below 30% of their max HP. Once again, this will help sustain your team and keep them healthy.

Early on in a Cave run, we recommend getting blessings that either heal/revive your witches (Angel's Harp, Angel's Healing Rays, Phoenix Flame) or increase their survivability in some way (Warrior God's Shield, Battle God's Ward). Since your witches do not heal between battles, they will need to recover as much HP as they can before a battle ends.

Increase Your Team's Damage in the Later Stages

Blessing Explanation
WarriorWarrior's/Sniper's/Sorcerer's Soul Increases the ATK of a specific character type. Picking up the one that affects your carry is often a fine choice.
Warrior God Warrior God's Sword and Favor Enhances your team's crit, which helps finish fights faster.
Acc Blessing - MementoMori.jpgACC Blessing Improves your entire team's accuracy, which increases the likelihood that no turns are wasted on missed attacks.

When you get to Level Two or Level Three and you have a good base of blessings that will keep your team healthy, start gathering blessings that will increase your team's overall damage.

These blessings could differ depending on the Type (Warrior, Sorcerer, Sniper) and Soul of your team's main carry. Read their descriptions, see what their effects are (you will always want to get ATK, CRIT, SPD, and ACC) buffs, and what kind of units will benefit from them.

For example, X's Soul, Hymn of Battle (X), or X Holy Spirit blessings will give different offensive effects, with X being either a specific Type or Soul. Always keep an eye out for these effects and see which ones can boost your main carry/carries.

Get Militant God's Baton, Judgement Strike, Spirit King's Coffin, and Other Blessings

Blessing Explanation
Militant God Militant God's Baton Increases the ATK and DEF of your entire team for the entire 3rd level, but only on Hard Mode.
Judgement Strike - MementoMori.jpg Judgement Strike Automatically eliminates opponents whose health pools go down to 10% or lower.
Spirit King Spirit King's Coffin Doubles the damage a random enemy unit receives. The effect is transferred randomly whenever the target afflicted with the debuff dies. This drastically improves your burst damage.

Along the way, you will want to get specific blessings that will increase your offensive power regardless of what Type or Soul your main carry is: Militant God's Baton, Judgement Strike, and Spirit King's Coffin.

When you see these Blessings after a battle, get them first before other blessings to increase your offensive power. Militant God's Baton is especially important since it gives you an advantage in fighting in Level 3 Hard Mode, which gives more rewards when cleared.

Know What Kind of Encounter You Are Getting Into

CoS-T Treasure - MementoMori

There are different types of encounters in the Cave of Space-Time. Knowing which encounter you're getting yourself into will not only improve your chances of finishing the trial but also maximize your profits as well.

Treasure Ship of Dark Illusions

Encounters that face you off with just one strong enemy, these fights grant large amounts of either Guild Coins, Battle Coins, or Space-Time Coins. These rewards are the best out of any of the other encounters, so try not to pass up on them. Note that you can only challenge this once, so make sure the enemy you're facing isn't too far out of your league.

Battles

The most common encounter in the Cave of Space-Time, battles are matches that let you choose one out of three blessings to have on your trial. Unless there's a Magical Treasure Ship encounter or you absolutely need to use the Revive or Tree of Healing encounters, opt for this encounter to strengthen your team with Blessings.

Blessing Enhancement Encounters

The Enhance Blessing type of encounter will enhance one to three of your blessings randomly while the Challenge of Protection encounter will let you choose one blessing to enhance after winning a battle. Both options are good, especially if you're looking to enhance the powerful blessings that you already have.

Tree of Healing

This encounter heals a maximum of 50% of your units' max HP. Pick the Tree of Healing encounter if your team is running low on health.

Revive

This encounter revives 1 dead character at random, allowing you to field them back and let them heal. If none of your characters are dead and you choose this encounter, the character with the lowest health will be healed. Pick this encounter situationally when you need it.

Assist

Allows you to pick a witch to add to your current pool of characters. This option isn't really recommended unless you're a new player or you're in a pickle where one of your characters is dead and needs a strong replacement.

Use Assists If You Must, But...

Assists.png

If you don't have a strong team to carry you through the Cave of Space-Time, getting Assists is a great way of boosting your firepower as you can get access to powerful characters.

However, take note that Assist characters will only be as strong as the character with the lowest level in your party. So if you are starting out and you have your main carry at level 60 while your supports are all at level 20, the new assist character will also be at level 20.

If the assist character you picked is a DPS, she won't be able to help you much in pushing through CST. If the assist character is support, make sure that this character's buff/debuff does not scale with their own stats, or else they won't be as effective as they should be either.

If you already have a decent team, using assists would just make you miss out on encounters that offer better value for you, like a big bunch of coins from Treasure Ship of Dark Illusions, Trees of Healing, or battles that could give you powerful blessings.

Use Your Fruits of Healing

Fruit of Healing

For new players, don't forget to look for the Heal button on the top right side of the Cave of Space-Time screen. If you have a Fruit of Healing, it will fully revive your fallen witches and restore their HP.

So if your party got wiped by a particularly tough battle, don't assume that your Cave of Space-Time run is done. Check if you have a Fruit of Healing. If you do, heal up and try progressing again.

What to Do With Space-Time Coins

Buy Characters, Tickets of Guidance With Space-Time Coins

MementoMori - Ticket of Guidance IconTicket of Guidance MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie

Once you have Space-Time Coins from clearing the Cave of Space-Time, the best way to spend them is to either buy a Ticket of Guidance or a copy of one of the characters available at the Space-Time Shop.

A Ticket of Guidance allows you to pull from the Invocation of the Stars' Guidance, a special invocation banner that allows you to target a specific limited SR rarity witch (the banner is unlocked by either clearing Quest 17-4 or getting VIP Level 13). 10 Tickets of Guidance which can be bought for 180,000 Space-Time Coins

As for characters, most new players will want to get witches like Cordie (DPS and late-game support), Merlyn (great single-target support), and Amleth (decent tank and good early-game PvP unit).

The witches available in the shop will also most likely be the first witches you will get all the way up to LR rarity. A copy can be bought for 120,000 Space-Time Coins.
