However, her ability to converse with rain and puddles sets her apart from the villagers, who ostracize her for her seemingly strange behavior. Despite this isolation, Vee finds a glimmer of friendship in Lou. Initially, Lou tolerates Vee's eccentricities, finding amusement in her tales of faraway lands and swimming rivers, stories gleaned from the rain. However, as Vee's stories become increasingly fantastical, mentioning things like red fish swimming in the sky,

Lou's initial amusement starts to wear thin. The villagers' ridicule and lack of understanding likely seep into Lou's perception, causing her to question Vee's honesty. Lou accuses Vee of outright lying and fabricating stories. This harsh accusation deeply hurts Vee, shattering their fragile friendship and leaving her feeling ostracized and alone.
