Whether it's rain or puddles, or even water sitting inside a cup— they all tell Vee lotsa stories. But, it looks like no one in the village can talk to water. Everyone's so mean to Vee, calling her a weird girl who talks to water. There's only one person who's nice to Vee. That's Lou! She's Vee's one and only friend!"

Like about the time it poured
onto a faraway country.
Or, the time it flowed
into a nearby river.

But, it looks like no one
in the village can talk to water.
Everyone's so mean to Vee,
calling her a weird girl
who talks to water.

There's only one person
who's nice to Vee.

That's Lou!
She's Vee's one and only friend!"

Chapter 2
Lou's so nice. If Vee talks about the rain, Lou would smile and say, "You always have something weird to say, don't you?" But, there were some days when she didn't smile. On those kinds of days, she'd always have a bruise or two somewhere... Today, she's quietly sitting next to Vee, her eyes never leaving the floor. Talking about the rain just gets an "I see" from her, and she keeps looking away. Asking her what's wrong gives Vee no answers. Why is that...? Vee's worried... Vee loves Lou. Vee wants Lou to smile. What should Vee do...? It was then that Vee saw them— the bright red fishies swimming in the rain."

Lou's so nice.

If Vee talks about the rain,
Lou would smile and say,

There are pretty, bright red fishies
going flappy-flappy in the rain.

She's not coming with us? ...Vee wants to make up with Lou. After all, she's Vee's one and only best friend. The idea of saying goodbye as things are is just... But, Vee suddenly heard the sounds of footsteps, and she and the strange guy were surrounded by the Knights. Leading them was... ...Huh? Lou? Why...? "

when a strange guy
