Best Teams in MementoMori's PvE Modes

Get Standard SR Units Early On, Get Limited SR Units Later

When starting out in MementoMori, you will want teams made up of powerful but easy-to-upgrade units. These will most likely be Standard SR characters. No limited SRs, though they can come later. This is true, especially when it comes to clearing the Main Quest.

When you join a guild, you will have to participate in the Guild Raid. The more damage you deal to the single boss, the more rewards you get. Because you are only fighting one boss and there are only 10 minutes to deal as much damage as you can, certain units that aren't so good in the Main Quest suddenly become more useful here.

So we prepared a few sample teams you can check out and consider using for both the Main Quest and Guild Raid.

Party 1 - Cordie Team

• One of the most useful non-limited SR support witches, Merlyn, does two things: Increase the CRIT chance of allies next to her and cleanse debuffs and buffs from friends and foes, respectively.
MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie Main DPS
• Cordie is the best non-limited SR unit you can get because of the great damage she deals to enemies. Her only weakness is that she has low hit counts, which makes it difficult for her to deal with witches that have multi-barriers or shields like Soltina.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.
MementoMori - Primavera IconPrimavera Support
• Primavera is useful because of her team-wide ATK and SPD buffs, but she also finds value in directly attacking those in front of her and inflicting them with [Fainted] and [Buff Immunity]. Position her before a key target, and she'll do the rest.
MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi Support
• Mimi is used primarily for her Resonance debuff, which hurts the enemy with the highest DEF for half of the damage received by the enemy with the lowest DEF and vice-versa. She also deals some good damage, but it isn't enough to be a team's focal point of offense.

Please note that this team may also work if you replace Cordie with Florence or any of your current DPS. Mertillier can be replaced with either Lunalynn for [Silence], Nina for dispelling, or Rusalka for durability.

Party 2 - Sivi Team

MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie Main DPS
• Cordie is a good attacker and one of the best debuffers in the game if you get her Unique Weapon, Jack & Pot. It allows her to decrease an enemy's DEF by 80% for one turn, rendering them defenseless.
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Merlyn's supporting capabilities improve when leveled, as she'll be able to dispel buffs from 3 units instead of just 2, as well as heal and buff the crit chance and DEF of both adjacent units instead of just 1.
MementoMori - Lunalynn IconLunalynn Support
• Lunalynn can deal significant damage to multiple enemies. She can also inflict debuffs on enemies, such as [Silence] and [Poison]. Additionally, she has strong defensive abilities, including increased physical defense and damage reduction.
MementoMori - Sivi IconSivi Support/Secondary DPS
• Another great limited SR who heals the ally with the lowest SPD in the party and dispels any debuffs affecting them.
• With just one copy, she's already good enough to use as a Support unit, making her one of the few limited SR units that are useful to new players.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.

Sivi is a great support, so you can pair her up with other DPS carries like Florence or Amleth. Sivi's skills can help deal with tanky enemies later in the game. What's better is that her role as a support means she does not need extra copies to be "good" at her job. Just put her in your Level Link.

Party 3 - Cordie and Meria (Requires Meria UW at UR)

MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Main support for Cordie; gives her CRIT buffs and keeps her clear of debuffs. When at Level 220 or beyond, move her near the center so you can move someone else (like Meria) next to her as well. Tune her SPD so she moves before Cordie.
MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie Main DPS
• Use her as a DPS. Her UW will give her the ability to lower her enemies' DEF by 80%, so get it when you can.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• Serves the same role as in other team comps.
MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi Support
• Serves the same role she has in other team comps.
MementoMori - Meria IconMeria Support
• Meria isn't flashy, but she will give your entire team a 10% SPD boost as long as it has 3 same soul characters - who just happen to be Merlyn, Cordie, and Mertillier. Like Sivi, Meria only needs one copy to be useful, though she will still need her unique weapon at least at UR rarity, so she gives that SPD buff.

Meria gives the entire team a 10% SPD boost, which will most likely allow it to move faster than the enemy teams in the Main Quest. The only investment you need to do here, aside from Cordie, is getting one copy of Meria and upgrading her unique weapon to at least UR rarity (so she has the ability to give the SPD buff). This team should also benefit from a soul bonus to its HP and ATK.

Party 4 - Florence Team

MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Serves the same purpose as she does in other Main Quest PvE teams.
MementoMori - Florence IconFlorence DPS
• Not as easy to upgrade as Cordie, but has a higher hit count and will give you an easier time through the Main Quest, especially between Chapters 9 and 18.
• However, her Base SPD is rather low, and she might get outsped by other units in the long run.
MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi Support
• Same role as in other teams.
MementoMori - Primavera IconPrimavera Support
• Her SPD buff can help Florence somewhat with her low SPD.
MementoMori - Soltina IconSoltina Support
• Assuming you got her from the Start-Dash Campaign, Soltina is a good unit to put here unless you have someone else.
• But she's not a bad unit. She can tank hits with her Multi-Barrier as well as inflict Faint on enemies or put them to sleep.

Florence's team isn't so different from Cordie's, aside from Florence's SPD stat being quite lower than Cordie's. Primavera and Soltina can act as stunners though, so position them near units you want to stun for the first turn so Florence can take them out even if they out-speed her.

Party 5 - Amleth Team (Temporary PvE Team)

MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Serves the same role she has in Cordie and Florence teams.
MementoMori - Amleth IconAmleth Main DPS
• A decent DPS that can get you through the early part of the game, though it will still be slow going since her damage is not as impressive as Cordie's, nor does she have as high a hit count as Florence.
• You can buy copies of her from the Space-Time Shop, though it may be a better idea to just buy copies of Cordie instead and switch over to her as soon as possible.
• Can still be kept in your team as a tank aside from Soltina.
MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir Support
• Can be switched around with Mimi and Mertillier.
• Fenrir's job is to lower the skill cooldown of the units next to her, which can be useful in PvE.
• She can also be a basic cleanser for your team, keeping your main DPS clear of any debuffs in case Merlyn can't do it.
MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi Support
• Serves the same role as she does in other Main Quest teams that have her.
MementoMori - Soltina IconSoltina Support
• Here because she is likely the first standard SR unit you will get aside from Amleth, though she can be switched out if you have a better unit.
• Still, her ability to inflict Faint and Sleep can be helpful to your team, aside from her ability to tank hits.

In case you didn't get Cordie or Florence at all, you can still make do with another character as your DPS carry: Amleth, who deals more damage the less HP she has. However, her performance (at early PvE at least) will not be as good as having Cordie or Florence. So you will want to replace Amleth as soon as you can by farming currency from the Cave of Space-Time mode, which you can then use at the shop to buy Cordie.

• Florence can deal massive damage to multiple enemies. She can also increase her attack power and critical hit chance. Additionally, she has a strong ability to finish off defeated enemies with follow-up attacks.
MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir Support
• Fenrir is usually used to reduce cooldowns of adjacent allies. She can also dispel debuffs from herself and two adjacent allies. Lastly, she can also restore a bit of HP to an attacked ally.
MementoMori - Sivi IconSivi Support
• Another great limited SR who heals the ally with the lowest SPD in the party and dispels any debuffs affecting them.
MementoMori - Luke IconLuke Support/Secondary DPS
• Luke can deal massive damage to enemies because of how her damage boost from her first passive skill can ramp up as long as she keeps doing critical hits. She can also bypass enemy defenses and weaken them. Additionally, she has strong defensive abilities, including increased critical hit resistance and damage reduction.

Luke Guild Raid

MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir Support
• Fenrir is usually used to reduce cooldowns of adjacent allies. She can also dispel debuffs from herself and two adjacent allies. Lastly, she can also restore a bit of HP to an attacked ally.
MementoMori - Florence IconFlorence DPS
• Her usage is similar to the Sonya Guild raid. Florence can deal massive damage to multiple enemies. She can also increase her attack power and critical hit chance. Additionally, she has a strong ability to finish off defeated enemies with follow-up attacks.
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Merlyn's supporting capabilities improve when leveled, as she'll be able to dispel buffs from 3 units instead of just 2, as well as heal and buff the crit chance and DEF of both adjacent units instead of just 1. Cordie and Florence will be the beneficiaries of these buffs, allowing them to survive longer and deal bigger damage.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.
MementoMori - Luke IconLuke Support/Secondary DPS
• Just like how she is in Sonya's Guild Raid, Luke can damage enemies. She can also bypass enemy defenses and weaken them. Additionally, she is durable, with increased critical hit resistance and damage reduction.

You can use 2 DPS (adding Cordie and Florence) in a team, replace Luke, or use other DPS like Witch Illya, Armstrong, or Cerberus. Guild Raid aims to get as much damage as possible to defeat Sonya and Luke as many times as possible. You can also mix and match buffers and debuffers depending on the characters that you have. These teams have mostly standard characters since it will be easier to invest in amplifying damage.

Florence and Cordie Team

MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• Her role here is to boost Luke's ATK with her second active skill on turn 2, as well as turn 6-8.
MementoMori - Luke IconLuke DPS
• Just like in other teams, Luke's ramping damage makes her invaluable in Guild Raid, where she also has a lower chance of dying since you are only fighting one unit.
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Merlyn is another great addition to this team (especially post Level 220) because her CRIT buff will contribute to Luke's ramping damage. That's on top of helping Florence deal more attacks.
MementoMori - Florence IconFlorence DPS
• She's here to deal more attacks with help from Merlyn's CRIT buff.
MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie Support
• Cordie won't be your main DPS. Instead, her job is to drop the enemy's DEF by 80% with her first skill. She can do this even with just the base SR version of her unique weapon, Jack and Pot.

This is a standard team with Luke and Mertillier, with the main differences being the presence of Florence (to deal more damage), and Cordie (to decrease the raid boss' DEF).

Crimson DPS Team (Late Game)

MementoMori - Spring Shizu IconSpring Shizu DPS
• Not only do her skills synergize very well with Artoria, but her second active skill can deal damage of up to 1680% of her ATK (2280% of her ATK if you have the UR version of it).
• Even if she trades HP for damage, it shouldn't matter as long as even one of your units is still alive by turn 10.
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Support
• Same role as before, providing CRIT buffs to Spring Shizu and Artoria.
MementoMori - Artoria IconArtoria DPS
• Great for fighting Luke in particular because her first skill has a 70% chance of inflicting faint on her (since Luke is an Emerald soul witch).
• Since Spring Shizu takes damage from her own attacks, Artoria's passive, Rousing Justice, triggers, which gives her not only a bunch of ATK boosts, but also enhances the damage of her second skill (5 attacks equal to 1140% of her ATK each).
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• She's here to enhance Artoria's ATK with her second skill, though you can move her next to Spring Shizu instead if you prefer.
MementoMori - Soltina IconSoltina Support
• A filler unit if you don't have Luke somehow. But she can also tank hits from the raid boss and/or inflict Sleep or Faint on them too.

If you have the resources to spare, Spring Shizu and Artoria are excellent DPSes for Guild Raid. Usually, there's a danger that they might die quicker because their own skills trade their HP for damage. But in Guild Raid, where there's only one boss, they are mostly free to use their skills with impunity.

Illya Chaos ver. Raid Team (Late Game)

MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Support
• Does what she usually does in other guild raid teams: pumps up Luke's attack.
MementoMori - Luke IconLuke DPS
• Here to do what she does in other guild raid setups previously mentioned.
MementoMori - Sivi IconSivi Support
• Sivi is here to boost the ATK of her two slowest allies, which should be Luke and Illya's Chaos version. With Fenrir next to her, she should be able to give them an up to 70% damage boost before the raid ends on turn 10.
MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir Support
• Here to boost the cooldown of Sivi's and Illya's skills.
MementoMori - Witch Illya IconWitch Illya DPS
• Illya's chaos version is interesting because her passive, which requires her team to take 10 hits before triggering, will easily trigger without anyone dying beforehand. This will allow her to use her second active skill, God Curses the Light, without any cooldowns for the duration of the entire battle (if she's been properly leveled up).

If you happen to have your hands on Illya's Chaos version, you can use her in Guild Raid. The key here is that her passive is easily unlocked because of how little damage your team will receive from the raid boss (despite being hit 10 times as required). Once her passive is activated, she can then use her second skill without any cooldowns.
