Party 1 - Cordie Team

Character Role
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Buffer
• One of the most useful non-limited SR support witches, Merlyn does two things: Increase the CRIT chance of allies next to her and cleanse debuffs and buffs from friends and foes, respectively.
MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie DPS
• Cordie is the best non-limited SR unit you can get because of the great damage she deals to enemies. Her only weakness is that she has low hit counts, which makes it difficult for her to deal with witches that have multi-barriers or shields like Soltina.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Buffer
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.
MementoMori - Primavera IconPrimavera Debuffer
• Primavera is useful because of her team-wide ATK and SPD buffs, but she also finds value in directly attacking those in front of her and inflicting them with [Fainted] and [Buff Immunity]. Position her before a key target, and she'll do the rest.
MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi Debuffer
• Mimi is used primarily for her Resonance debuff, which hurts the enemy with the highest DEF for half of the damage received by the enemy with the lowest DEF and vice-versa. She also deals some good damage, but it isn't enough to be a team's focal point of offense.

Please note that this team may also work if you replace Cordie with Florence or any of your current DPS. Mertillier can be replaced with either Lunalynn for [Silence], Nina for dispelling, or Rusalka for durability.

Party 2 - Fia Team

Character Role
MementoMori - Nina IconNina Tank/Debuffer
• Nina can deal massive damage to multiple enemies. She can dispel enemy buffs, inflict debuffs on enemies, and even steal buffs from enemies. She also has strong defensive abilities, including increased evasion and damage reduction.
MementoMori - Milla IconMilla Buffer
• Milla is a powerful support character who can heal her allies and damage enemies significantly. She can also increase the maximum HP of her allies and delay enemy turns.
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Buffer
• Merlyn's supporting capabilities improve when leveled, as she'll be able to dispel buffs from 3 units instead of just 2, as well as heal and buff the crit chance and DEF of both adjacent units instead of just 1. Your DPS should be the beneficiaries of these buffs, allowing them to survive longer and deal bigger damage.
MementoMori - Fia IconFia DPS
• Fia is a tanky witch that deals ramping damage while healing herself with HP absorb. The more damage she receives from enemies, the better, as she takes 10% of all the damage Fia got in the last 20 or so turns before she activates her second active skill and pays that back to her enemies. This skill makes her dangerous for teams that try to nuke enemies in the first turn and those that try to drag a fight out.
MementoMori - Yuni IconYuni Healer
• Yuni can heal allies, increase their maximum HP, and damage enemies. She also has strong defensive abilities, including increased defense and critical hit resistance

If you want to focus on a tanky PvE team, you can always go right with Fia. Have supports that ramp up the team's HP so you can be durable while inflicting damage to the enemy. Make sure to invest in Fia with proper runes and gear so she can dish out significant damage to the enemies. Since this team is an entire emerald team, the soul bonus also adds 25% HP and ATK.

Party 3 - Sivi Team

Character Role
MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie DPS/Debuffer
• Cordie is a good attacker and one of the best debuffers in the game if you get her Unique Weapon, Jack & Pot. It allows her to decrease an enemy's DEF by 80% for one turn, rendering them defenseless.
MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn Buffer
• Merlyn's supporting capabilities improve when leveled, as she'll be able to dispel buffs from 3 units instead of just 2, as well as heal and buff the crit chance and DEF of both adjacent units instead of just 1./td>
MementoMori - Lunalynn IconLunalynn Tank/Debuffer
• Lunalynn can deal significant damage to multiple enemies. She can also inflict debuffs on enemies, such as [Silence] and [Poison]. Additionally, she has strong defensive abilities, including increased physical defense and damage reduction.
MementoMori - Sivi IconSivi Attacker/Buffer
• Another great limited SR who heals the ally with the lowest SPD in the party and dispels any debuffs affecting them. Sivi can be a good support unit on top of being an attacker.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Buffer
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.

Sivi is a great support so you can pair her up with other DPS carries like Florence or Amleth. Sivi's skills can help deal with tanky enemies later in the game.

Sonya Guild Raid

Character Role
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Buffer
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.
MementoMori - Florence IconFlorence DPS
• Florence can deal massive damage to multiple enemies. She can also increase her attack power and critical hit chance. Additionally, she has a strong ability to finish off defeated enemies with follow-up attacks.
MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir Buffer
• Fenrir is usually used to reduce cooldowns of adjacent allies. She can also dispel debuffs from herself and two adjacent allies. Lastly, she can also restore a bit of HP to an attacked ally.
MementoMori - Sivi IconSivi Attacker/Buffer
• Another great limited SR who heals the ally with the lowest SPD in the party and dispels any debuffs affecting them. Sivi can be a good support unit on top of being an attacker.
MementoMori - Luke IconLuke Tank/Debuffer
• Luke can deal massive damage to enemies. She can also bypass enemy defenses and weaken them. Additionally, she has strong defensive abilities, including increased critical hit resistance and damage reduction.

Luke Guild Raid

Character Role
MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir Buffer
• Fenrir is usually used to reduce cooldowns of adjacent allies. She can also dispel debuffs from herself and two adjacent allies. Lastly, she can also restore a bit of HP to an attacked ally.
MementoMori - Florence IconFlorence DPS
• Her usage is similar to the Sonya Guild raid. Florence can deal massive damage to multiple enemies. She can also increase her attack power and critical hit chance. Additionally, she has a strong ability to finish off defeated enemies with follow-up attacks.
Cordie and Florence will be the beneficiaries of these buffs, allowing them to survive longer and deal bigger damage.
MementoMori - Mertillier IconMertillier Buffer
• Mertillier's best skill is 'Maintenance,' which at level 2 boosts the ATK of the ally with the highest ATK for three turns on top of reducing their skill cooldown.
MementoMori - Luke IconLuke Tank/Debuffer
• Just like how she is in Sonya's Guild Raid, Luke can damage enemies. She can also bypass enemy defenses and weaken them. Additionally, she is durable, with increased critical hit resistance and damage reduction.

You can use 2 DPS (adding Cordie and Florence) in a team, replace Luke, or use other DPS like Witch Illya, Armstrong, or Cerberus. Guild Raid aims to get as much damage as possible to defeat Sonya and Luke as many times as possible. You can also mix and match buffers and debuffers depending on the characters that you have. These teams have mostly standard characters since it will be easier to invest in amplifying damage.

Team Composition Guide

Team Composition Checklist

Be Mindful of Your Witches' Skills and Roles

Forming Your Party - MementoMori

Being mindful of what kind of witches you have in your party makes all the difference in MementoMori, especially in PvP matchups. Every character is not entirely useless because they have niches to fill in-game. For example, if you're up against witches that have strong defenses (for example, Soltina), use witches that can undermine defense (like Mimi and her Resonance debuff, Primavera's DEF debuffs, or Dian's HP-scaled attack).

The good thing about this game is that whether you're doing PvE or PvP, you'll know what your enemy's team is ahead of time, so it's all a matter of switching out witches in your party.

Choose Which Character to Invest Most of Your Resources in

Properly Upgraded Florence - MementoMori

Another thing to remember about building teams in MementoMori is that your resources will be limited, especially if you're a F2P player. You'll most likely have only enough resources in terms of equipment, upgrade materials, and runes to fully invest in one character. So let that character be your main attacker, whether it be Cordie, Florence, Amleth, or others.

Currently, the game's meta revolves around getting one main attacker and using the other four witches as support, so it only makes sense to invest most of your resources in the one character that will carry your party through the game in PvE and PvP.

Get Used to Switching Witches and Gear

Switching Gear - MementoMori

Another thing you'll have to remember with limited resources is that you'll be switching out your characters depending on the situation, so you'll have to get used to re-equipping them with your best items every time (especially if you have to switch out your main attacker). This is especially true if you're trying to progress in the different Soul Towers of the Tower of Infinity, since you'll have completely different teams for each Soul Tower.

Soul Bonuses Are Added Bonuses

Soul Bonuses - MementoMori

If you have three or more witches of the same soul type at your party, you'll gain access to Soul Bonuses, which (as the name implies) give bonus HP and ATK buffs to your party.

However, if your party setup would do much better with a character that will break your Soul Bonus, then do so. Ultimately, team synergy is far more important than getting the Soul Bonus for your party.
