A small-town girl from the Holy See of Hainz. Seeing the Witch Hunt lead to her friend's murder gave her a shock that transformed her into a witch. Petra is very self-conscious of the horn and claws that grew on her when she became a witch, and is now afraid of going out in public.

Petra Story

The Witch Hater

I hated witches.

Petra hated witches, and her reason for doing so is simple. Her parents absolutely hated witches, and it was passed down to her. Eager to be a good girl and please her parents, Petra would often say bad things about witches.

One day, Petra met a girl in the woods, who saved her from a rabid dog. She was initially very cautions with the girl, as she lived alone in the forest, and seemed to have used magic to drive the rabid dog away. However, Petra learned that the girl used an incense to repel the dog, and that she chose to live in seclusion because she wanted to be away from the city's noise. Despite the girl being a little bit odd, the two became good friends.

In a random day, the Knights captured Petra's friend and accused her of being a witch. The girl was dragged to the gallows, with the whole crowd voicing out terrible words of hate. Petra wanted to defend her friend, but the words never made it to her mouth as she was stunned with the intensity of the situation.

A Nightmarish Transformation

Ahh...I'm...no longer human. Someone...Anyone... Please...save me...

As her friend died, Petra's body felt hot and she couldn't hold back her tears. She heard a person in the crowd scream "Witch! There's a witch over there!" As everyone gazed at her direction, a confused and traumatized Petra realized that she grew a horn and that there were claws on her left hand. She looked just like the witches she despised, as illustrated in the books she read.

Petra rushed home, as if in denial of what had just happened, hoping this was all just her imagination. She was met by her parents, who, with sheer terror in their faces, yelled out "We didn't call the Knights here!" as the Knights came by. The desparation in their voices made it sound like they were pleading for their lives. To this day, Petra doesn't know how sincere her parents' words were.

Petra ran to the forest, as far as she could. She's been living in the forest since, much like her now deceased friend. She was often hungry and freezing. She still despises her fate, and what she has turned into. To this day, she doesn't know why or how she turned into the one thing she and her family hated the most.

Like many other witches in this game, Petra was rescued by the Duke of Fran, who then granted her refuge at his estate.

Petra Personality

Petra is a cautious girl eager to please her parents. She hated witches with all her heart, until she became one herself. She also seems somewhat timid, as she failed to defend her friend as she was sent to the gallows.

Petra Relationships

• Petra's parents - They hated witches, and shared this hatred with Petra. They were in utter fear when Petra arrived home as a witch.
• Petra's friend - Saved Petra from a rabid dog. She formed a friendship with Petra. She was later accused of being a witch, which ended up being her death sentence.

Interactions With Other Characters

• Mentions Sonya in her Home 8 voice line where Petra doesn’t know how to feel after Sonya tells her that her claws and horns are cool. This is the first time anyone’s ever done this.
