| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
Fia
|
・Powerful attacker both in PvE and PvP. ・Deals damage to enemies based on the damage she has taken in the battle. ・Deals AoE damage while also staying healthy thanks to the HP drain she gets from one of her skills. ・Needs gear that raises HP and stamina to increase her survivability from enemy attacks. |
Sivi
|
・Works similar with Fia but synergizes best with slow characters. ・Can act as a secondary damage dealer aside from being a great support that buffs and heals allies. |
Cordie
|
・Also a great attacker who can buff herself without any turn requirements. ・Easy to level up because you can get copies of her from the Cave of Space-Time shop. ・Can also debuff enemies with her exclusive weapon. |
Merlyn
|
・Boosts your attackers' Crit Chance. ・Also easy to awaken because you can get copies of her from the Cave of Space-Time shop. |
In general, we recommend awakening characters with high damage output. Doing so will further increase the damage they deal to enemies, making quest progression a breeze.

Not only do the gacha banners give you the chance of getting the witch you want, but you'll also get many witches of a lower rarity. These witches can be used to awaken your base SR witches at different points of the awakening process (SSR, UR, and UR+).
This is why we don't recommend awakening your witches automatically using the 'Awaken All' button, especially R-rarity witches, since you can still use them to awaken your base SR witches instead.
It is important to note that copies of a character used as an evolution material can't be returned to you, so choose copies wisely, especially if you're using the “Awaken All” function.

Duplicates of several powerful witches such as Cordie, Merlyn, and Amleth can be bought from the Shop with Space-Time Coins, which are gained from clearing the Cave of Space-Time.
Doing this will shorten the time it takes to awaken them to LR rarity and beyond considerably. As long as you consistently clear the Cave of Space-Time, you should be able to buy a duplicate once a month or even less.
How To Collect and Use Space-Time Coins
It's generally better to awaken SR Characters over R Characters because they are stronger. The problem is, SR character copies are a bit hard to come by.
R Character copies, on the other hand, are much more common, so we recommend raising your R Characters' rarity first, then using them as evolution materials to awaken your SR characters.
If you were able to pull a copy of an SR character, feel free to use that copy to awaken that specific character.
However, do remember that these copies are rare. Thus, we don't recommend using them as evolution materials to awaken other characters.

Awaken Unlock offers exciting new possibilities for your favorite R characters. Awaken them, unlock new Arcana, and boost the rest of your characters with new stat buffs.
As of this writing, you can choose either of eight characters to awaken past SSR+: Illya, Arianrhod, Zara, Skuld, Iris, Rosalie, Cherna, Theodora, Loki, Petra, Libra, and Soteira.
This feature is only available to players who have reached Party Level 300.
| R Witch's Rarity Upon Return | Items to Be Obtained |
|---|---|
| R | 60 Witch's Shards of the same character |
| R+ | 180 Witch's Shards of the same character |
| SR | 180 Witch's Shards of the same character and 6 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| SR+ | 360 Witch's Shards of the same character and 12 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| SSR | 360 Witch's Shards of the same character and 48 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| SSR+ | 720 Witch's Shards of the same character and 60 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| UR | 720 Witch's Shards of the same character and 132 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| UR+ | 720 Witch's Shards of the same character and 204 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| LR | 1440 Witch's Shards of the same character and 228 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| LR+ | 1800 Witch's Shards of the same character and 240 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| LR+2 | 2160 Witch's Shards of the same character and 252 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| LR+3 | 2520 Witch's Shards of the same character and 264 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| LR+4 | 3240 Witch's Shards of the same character and 288 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
| LR+5 | 3960 Witch's Shards of the same character and 312 Witch's Letters (R) of the same soul. |
If a character meets certain conditions, you can convert that character into Witch's Shards to save on roster space. If your character's lowest base rarity is SR, you need to have a version of that same character with a rarity of LR+5 or higher. This will give you Witch's Shards of that character.
If the character's lowest base rarity is R, that character can be converted into Witch's shards depending on a specific order of priority:
This means if the witch you want to return is the R base rarity character with the highest level, you will need to return the R base rarity witches with the highest rarity and highest BP first.
If you return a character at R rarity, you will get Witch's Shards. If you return them after they have been awakened to SR rarity or higher, you will also get Witch's Letters in a number equivalent to the number of characters used to Awaken them.
Remember that to awaken a character with a base rarity of R to UR or higher, you will need to use the Awaken Unlock.
| How to Get Awakening Materials |
|---|
|
|

One way to get Awakening Materials is through the Invocation Banners.
The characters you can pull from these banners are random but you can use the lower rarity copies as evolution fodder to awaken higher rarity characters.
List of All Invocation Banners (Gacha)

You can also get Awakening Materials through the daily, weekly, and main missions.
Do your best to complete as many of the missions as possible to get a specific character shard. Some missions also reward Witch's Shards, a consumable that you can use to obtain more character copies.

If you want a more specific character shard, then the Cave of Space-Time Shop is the way to go.
Here you can get Character Shards for a couple of R Characters and SR characters including Cordie and Merlyn, two of the best characters in the game.
If you'd like, you can also get Witch's Shards (R) here and a couple of Kindling Orbs.
To buy Shards from the Space-Time Shop, you need Space-Time coins which you can get by clearing the Cave of Space-Time trial. The trial refreshes every 48 hours, so make sure to clear it an entire run every time to get Space-Time coins.

Clearing floors in the Tower of Infinity for the first time will also reward you with Witch's Shards. When you clear higher floors, you can even get Witch's Shards that can unlock SR characters!

You can also get Awakening Materials from the Character Shop.
To buy a shard from the Character Shop, you first need to get Character Coins, a currency you can get by releasing N characters from the Characters menu and pulling from the Invocation Banners.
Once you have enough Character Coins, head over to the Character Shop and buy Witch's Shard (R) or Witch's Shard (SR). You can then find these in the Consumables tab in your Box and use them to get a random R or SR character.
How to Collect and Use Character Coins

If you have money to spare, you can also get Witch's Shards from the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Premier Gifts shops.

Awakening your character raises not only their rarity but also makes them stronger by raising their max level. For example, if you want your Amleth to have 1 turn of Invulnerability after receiving fatal damage, you'll need to get her to at least level 141 - which can only be unlocked once she's at SSR+ rarity.
Even if you try to get around this by putting your witches into Level Link, a higher rarity witch will still be stronger than a lower rarity one in terms of base stats. Having higher stats could very well decide whether or not your witch will win a battle, especially in the Battle League.
